Meet CJ! CJ came to us over 2 years ago from a kill shelter in Oklahoma. He was very scared and we helped him learn what love is. He was adopted for a while, but was recently returned for issues going potty in the house and being scared of men. His foster is a trainer and is working on these with him - he's doing great! He is very dog friendly and a big sweetheart who just wants to curl up next to his people. He's been dumped time and time again, each time harder than the last, and he wants to find his final Furever.

Story
Meet the world's happiest dog, Rosie! We adopted her as a puppy and she is living her best doggie life. She loves to run, play with toys, fetch, and curl up at your feet. She is not a demanding dog at all, but is laid back and easygoing. She is an excellent watch dog and really enjoys hanging out outdoors, keeping an eye on the yard. Due to a separation and move, I am no longer to care for her. I have been unable to give her the exercise she needs due to a balance issue and she deserves to have a person who can be more active than I can be. She is absolutely happy to just hang with me and not so walks, but I know that is not what is best for her in the long run. She loves the dog park and is good with other dogs. She seems to be afraid of cats. She'll act all tough, but then will run and hide. If you are looking for a living, fun, and happy dog, Rosie is it!

Hi there! I'm Asher, a furry friend weighing 120lbs, searching for a forever home. I have a loving nature towards everyone I meet, whether it's a man, woman, or child. I thrive on being by your side and am a gentle giant who adores spending time with my humans. Being a true lap dog, I enjoy cozying up with you on the couch for hours on end. I would appreciate having a spacious backyard to explore and a daily walk. I'm eager to interact with other dogs and love playtime. While I'm nearly house trained, I have a weakness for indoor plants at my foster home, so regular outdoor access is essential. Remember, nobody's perfect, right? Though I'm only 6 years old, I've faced challenges, but thanks to Lucky 13 Rescue, I've received the care I needed - including treatment for heartworm, making me heartworm-free now. Most recently they covered my patella surgery to help me with a bad leg I've had for years. The vets said this should fix me right up, but there is a slim chance I might need a surgery on my ankle. We won't know this for a few more weeks. Asher will be fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, have completed leg surgery, and be up to date on heartworm prevention upon adoption. His adoption fee is $200.00. Asher is exclusively available through our foster-to-adopt program (must reside within 60 miles of Kansas City). Hello there! I'm Blanca, a playful 6-month-old Great Pyrenees, and I'm excited to find my forever home! I may be a puppy now, but I'm destined to be a big girl, so I hope you're ready for some love and cuddles from a future gentle giant. With my fluffy coat, I'll need regular brushing and grooming to keep me looking my finest, but I promise it'll be worth it! I absolutely love the company of other dogs and get along well with kids, too. Just a heads up, though-if you have little ones, keep in mind that I'm still growing and sometimes my excitement can get the best of me! I might bump into them in my eagerness to play. I'm already house and kennel trained, which means I know how to keep my space tidy. I'm also good on a leash, so we can enjoy nice walks together. I really enjoy lounging on a cozy pillow and, when I get the chance, I love to run and explore the outdoors. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, we're going to have so much fun together! My adoption fee is $250, which covers my vaccinations, dewormer, microchip, and spay surgery. Story
For the most part, she's very calm, though some of that puppy energy is still shining through at a year and a half. We got her from a shelter in Emporia, Kansas, where she was matted and a bit stinky. There have been some issues with her getting along with the dog currently in residence, though not on her end. Ideally we'd like to see her go to a home that has the time and energy to properly introduce her to what living in a house is like, has the time necessary to train her, and has the space for her.
