Story
Reggie is a beautiful Great Pyranese / Labrador mix with a super cute underbite. He is timid and slow to come around but walks well on a leash, mild mannered and does well with other dogs. We are guessing him to be 1 year old. He would do best with a fence and another dog in the home.  ##2003543##

Story
Charlie is a special boy who will need some extra TLC as he transitions to his new home. He comes from a difficult past, which has led to a few challenges. Crating causes him significant distress—sometimes to the point of self-harm—so a crate-free environment is best for him.   Charlie struggles with attachment and may have some anxiety when left alone, occasionally leading to small accidents in the house. However, he is bell-trained for potty training and rarely has accidents otherwise. When left alone, he has successfully used puppy pads for his anxiety-related peeing.   He has gotten along well with all the dogs—both male and female—he’s met in his foster home. However, he may take a few days to settle in and find his place in the pack. During this adjustment period, he might be a bit more protective of his human and his food.   With patience and love, Charlie will make a wonderful companion! The adoption fee for puppies under 6 months of age is $265. If the puppy is too young or small to be fixed there will be a $75 spay/neuter rebate form provided. They currently have at least 1 puppy shot,, flea preventative, heartworm preventative and are microchipped with lifetime registration ($13).  If you have serious interest in this puppy, please fill out an application (don't call, email or text before filling out an app or you will have a greater chance of missing out on this puppy). Applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic . ##2304426##

Story
Joey and Katie came to the Sanctuary together and have always been together. Joey takes all of his cues from her. He is a timid boy which takes some time to get to know. Once he loves you he will follow you anywhere, as long as Katie does too. After working with him a couple of months we are able to walk him with the pack of dogs at the Sanctuary but he still needs vigilant supervision with them. He is good with Katie but doesn't seem to know how to interact with the others and can become agitated with them. Joey and Katie seem to have had little socialization outside of their own yard. A positive reinforcement trainer would be great to have on hand when adopting them. They do need adopted as a set currently. We were hoping to work on Joeys socialization skills enough that they could be separated but it hasn't worked out as so. Katie would do fine but we fear Joey would fall apart. They are both large teddy bear dogs and would do well in a large fenced area. They like to come in but as long as they don't get too hot or wet they like hanging out outside. If your interested in adopting Joey and Katie it will take multiple visits before they are comfortable with you enough to go home. To adopt them please go to www.libertyacresunited.com and submit your application. Their adoption fee together is $150. For more information you can call or text 765-969-4782 For more information on the animals available for adoption and more information on the Sanctuary please visit us a www.libertyacresunited.com and don't forget to follow us on Facebook

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mary is a 7.5-year-old, 103-pound Great Pyrenees who adores hugs and loves being scratched between her eyes and behind her ears. She is obedient, learning new commands with some initial hesitation but ultimately adapting. While she may be a little shy when first meeting someone, she quickly warms up. Mary has a playful love for snow—she enjoys rolling in it, sprinting as if she’s in a relay race, and always taking a taste before heading back inside. She has excellent manners, never begging for food but curiously sniffing it. She also respects boundaries, never climbing on furniture or the bed. However, her bed is placed right beside her humans, and she follows their bedtime routine. Once she picks up on a change in routine, she instinctively follows it without needing to be told. She is both housetrained and crate-trained. While there are no other dogs or cats in her current home, she was previously fostered with both and did well. Slow introductions are recommended. One of Mary’s favorite pastimes is lounging outside while chewing on a bone. If you're looking for a loving, devoted companion who will greet you with full-body kisses every time you walk through the door, Mary might be your perfect match. Mary is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $175.00.
