Story
Great Pyrenees – Free to the Right Home We are looking for a loving, experienced home for our Great Pyrenees girl. This is a very hard decision, and our priority is finding the right fit for her needs. She is gentle and affectionate with people, has grown up with four children and their friends, and has always done well in a busy family environment. She loves being outdoors and would thrive with space to enjoy fresh air and freedom. True to her breed, she is loyal, independent, and naturally protective. She can be selective with other dogs—she may do well with some, she has had incidents with a Yorkie and an older small mixed-breed dog, so this is an important consideration. On the other hand she has made friends with frenchies and mini golden doodles. She would do best in a home with large-dog experience, a fenced yard or rural setting. She is being rehomed for free to ensure she goes to the right home. Please reach out if you believe you could provide a safe, loving environment.

Story
Hi, I’m Domingo and I’m ready to find my forever home! Dog’s Name: Domingo Location: Plano, IL Date of Birth: 12/12/2025 Breed: Great Pyrenees Color: White Dog's Weight: 85 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  NO CATS! Kids?: All Kids Training:  Leash Trained - walks loose leash Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents Meet Domingo! Domingo is a happy-go-lucky pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This fluffy boy started his journey as a farm dog, but quickly decided that chickens just weren’t his thing —and that’s okay, because he’s much more interested in being your fun-loving companion! Domingo does great with both dogs and kids, making him a wonderful addition to a family home ‍‍‍. He’s always ready for playtime and absolutely loves toys—especially interactive ones that keep his curious mind engaged . When he’s not playing, you’ll find him enjoying bursts of puppy energy—zooming around outside, burying his face in the snow, and then coming inside to crash into a deep, adorable sleep . He’s crate trained overnight and does very well once settled—no accidents or chewing—but he may still cry a bit when first going in. With time, patience, and routine, he’ll continue to build confidence . Domingo is also doing great on a leash and enjoys getting out to explore the world by your side ‍ As a breed that tends to be vocal and loves the outdoors, Domingo will happily “chat” with you and let you know when it’s time to play or hang out . He truly thrives on being around his people and would love a home where he gets plenty of attention and companionship. His gorgeous, fluffy coat is as soft as it looks—but it will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best . Domingo would do well with first-time giant breed owners who are ready for puppy energy, lots of love, and a little bit of chatter along the way . If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling every day, Domingo might just be your perfect match! Story
Chloe is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her 95-pound frame. This gentle giant is still gaining confidence in her foster home and is slowly letting her silly, playful personality shine. She loves being near her people and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be part of whatever you’re doing. Chloe is the perfect mix of affectionate and goofy. One minute she’s making you laugh with her clumsy zoomies, and the next she’s leaning into you for the sweetest cuddles. She does like to talk—barking and whining to communicate—so she’ll do best with a family that understands she’s still learning and can give her patience as she continues to grow in confidence. She’s doing great on leash walks and enjoys getting out and exploring. Chloe isn’t a fan of being crated, so she’d thrive in a home where she can have a comfortable space of her own without needing a crate. Because of her large size and enthusiastic, slightly clumsy play style, Chloe would do best in a home without small children. Adults or older kids who understand big dogs will be the perfect match for her. With a little love, patience, and continued training, Chloe will reward her forever family with endless loyalty, laughter, and love. If you’re looking for a sweet, lovable giant who will adore you with her whole heart, Chloe might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application. Your application will be reviewed by our team, and if it is a good fit, we will send it to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $250 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! Story
Who can open their heart and home to Misty? Misty is an 8 yr old 68 lb great pyr/lab mix and through no fault of her own, the only family she has known since she was a puppy can no longer care for her. We need to find her a foster/foster to adopt home as soon as possible.  Misty does great with cats and with other dogs. She is 8 so she would appreciate a dog who respects her space and would be content to just be there (vs one who wants to play all the time). Misty would love a nice yard or patio to lay around in when it is nice, and to be your couch or dog bed buddy when it is too cold and you just want to curl up and watch TV She is spayed, microchipped, and healthy! She is housebroken and has very good manners If you can open your heart and home this season please consider Misty.. https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application Once you complete that we will be in touch!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2026, 6:42 pm
