Meet Ginger Rogers. This sweet girl is sure to dance her way right into your heart and your home. Ginger is a smaller Pyrenees mix who loves to be around people. When she meets someone new she wiggles her butt in excitement but doesn't jump and on walks she tries to get every person who passes to stop and pet her. She loves to cuddle and for being only 9 months old is already pretty calm, she understands a rainy day curled up on the couch. She is dog friendly but is more interested in people than other dogs so she could be a single dog or in a multidog household. She is housebroken and met a cat once and was gentle and just sniffed him although she hasn't spent significant time with a cat. Now the reason why Ginger is with us is was fired from her job of farm dog because she liked to escape and developed a taste for chicken. Her foster hasn't had issues but is always on the porch when she is outside. This girl is so friendly and loving she will make a great addition to any home. Meet this beautiful fluffy girl today! We adopted Lilly from a shelter in Henderson, KY. They did not have any room for her and she was not eating at the time due to stress. Her previous owners dropped her off after 7years. Theu said if the shelter didn't take her in, she would be put down. When we showed up, she ate for us ans was the sweetest dog. However, when we got home she did not get along w. Our other dogs. We have been trying for 2 years but it's not working. So we currently have to keep them separated, which is not fair to Lilly. She needs to find a home where she can be happy and roam around . She is amazing and so sweet around people. Just not with other dogs. Her previous owners did not own other dogs but she was raised around a few cats. She is very loyal, house trained and loving. She would be perfect for an experienced owner, someone with room for her to walk around. She is micro chipped. Does need her rabies shot for this year.

Hello, I'm Mo! I'm the sweetest, friendliest, most curious dog you'll ever meet. I've lived most of my life outdoors, so I could adapt again to that life or life inside loving you. I do good in a kennel and seem to be pretty well potty-trained. I'm selective about other dogs so a proper introduction is a must. I absolutely LOVE my belly rubbed. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2032005##
