Story
This gentle giant is Biggie! He was surrendered to the shelter on 3/31 because his family lost their home. The volunteers describe Biggie as super sweet and loving. He is a gentle boy and walks so nicely on leash without pulling. He also sits nicely when asked. Sadly, Biggie is heartworm positive so he could really use a hero!! Biggie is approximately 2.5 years old, and weighs 92 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and has been microchipped. He is neutered. Even though Biggie did test positive for heartworms, he can go on to live a long and healthy life with proper treatment and care. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while he receives treatment. Biggie is waiting patiently in kennel 825; his ID # is 14053. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Wellington (11 years old): - A very quit dog, have him for 4 years and has not barked. - Very low maintenance and low energy. - loves to be pet. - A well trained & smart dog, knows most commands like sit, come, lay down, etc. - An old soul in his own space. - Very independent dog, and has been recommended to be trained to be a service animal. - Loves to swim. I am relocating and no longer can take care of him. I am trying to find a good home for him.

Story
Hi my name is Athena here is a little information about me, Things I Love: Getting Pet, Exploring Nature, Naptime, Cuddles and most importantly Getting Pet (This one is my favorite) Things you should know: 1. I have a sensitive stomach and when my diet gets changed or I have to many treats or bones I tend to get diarrhea or have even thrown up, so its important I eat the same thing regularly 2. I have developed separation anxiety and do not want to live in a apartment 3. I'm potty trained and will not go in the crate while you are out at work, although sometimes when I'm outside it takes me awhile to find the perfect spot to go number 2 4. I'm getting better at being on a leash but I'm not used to seeing very many dogs while walking so they sometimes make me nervous and I can act scary and bark at people or animals 5. I love meeting new people and have never bit anyone, and you can even take my food while eating 6. I prefer to be the only dog in the house
