Story
best with cats or low-key female dogs “Meet Jaxon! This 3 year old,  Great Pyrenees mix, is large, in charge, and ready to rule your roost/couch! Jaxon can organize a toy mess in under 30 seconds and he can return a ball to you even faster. His favorite activities are making sure his people and home are safe, picking up litter on walks so you can discard it (cares about his environment!), and babysitting tennis balls. What he lacks in small-ness he makes up for in the puppy playfulness. He’s crate-trained, good on a leash with harness, and mostly house-trained (so close!). His foster home includes both cats and dogs and he prefers his kitty friends. Interested adopters should expect a couple rounds of dog-testing with any existing dogs (low energy females preferred) and some warm-up time with men.” Age: 3 years old approx  Weight: approx 65 lbs  Temperament: Gets along with adults, kids, dogs  Training: house trained.  Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative  For questions about Jaxon, please email.  chelseacna@gmail.com   &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself November 4, 2024, 2:11 pm

Story
Name: Lulu Age: 1 Year 5 Months Breed: Great Pyrenees Gender: Female DOB: 03/13/2023 Meet Lulu! Introducing Lulu, our calm and sweet Great Pyrenees who was born on March 13, 2023. With her gentle nature and striking presence, Lulu is looking for a loving forever home where she can thrive. Calm and Sweet Lulu is incredibly calm and sweet, with a loving demeanor that makes her a wonderful companion. She has a natural ability to bring a sense of peace and comfort to those around her. Needs Leash Training While Lulu is already potty trained, she does need some leash training. With a bit of patience and guidance, she’ll learn to enjoy her walks and outdoor adventures safely. Typical Pyrenees Barking Lulu has a tendency to bark, which is typical of her breed. It’s part of her protective nature, and with the right training, it can be managed effectively. Needs Space to Run Lulu was surrendered because her previous home was a townhome, which didn’t provide her with the space she needs. Being a large and active breed, Lulu requires a yard and plenty of room to run and explore. A spacious environment is essential for her happiness and well-being. Ready for a Loving Home With her combination of sweetness, calm demeanor, and gentle nature, Lulu is the perfect addition to any loving household. She’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship to her new family. If Lulu sounds like the perfect companion for you, come meet her! She’s eager to share her love and bring happiness to her forever home. ##2148695##

Story
This handsome, furry fellow is Jake! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 9/24, and no one has come to reclaim him. Sweet Jake is how hoping for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Jake as friendly and curious, and he has the softest coat! Jake will sit nicely for treats when asked. He gets excited when offered treats, so he'll need a little help learning to accept them gently! With a little patient guidance, he'll learn in no time. His motto is "stop and smell the flowers" along the way. Jake really likes to take his time on walks and sniff things. If you're looking for walking buddy who likes to amble along and take his time, please come meet Jake! Jake is approximately 3 years old, and he weighs 72 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, now neutered, and will be microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Jake is waiting patiently in run 883; his ID # is 662164. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Meet Beary Tree   Beary Tree is a stunning, 3 year old, Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 65 pounds. He has a medium energy level, is house trained, and working on crate training, but does well out in the house when left alone.   This guy is Mr. Charisma. He loves everyone and everyone loves him.  He loves car rides and walks. Hikes are a big hit with Beary Tree too, but he can be barky when approaching other dogs. He is working on this and is making progress. His fluffy coat is silky soft and invites many pets which works for him since he feels that there are never enough of those.   He loves hanging out in the yard, so a fenced yard is a good idea for this guy. Beary is a very intelligent dog who enjoys having something to do whether it is working on training, hiking, walking or whatever activity you love, he is up for it. On the flip side, he is also a big fan of daytime naps and just hanging out. Beary will do best in a home where he is your one and only four legged family member.   This sweet boy is a joy and loves his people. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky home. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          November 4, 2024, 11:32 am

Story
Rex is potty trained and has completed obedience training with a licensed trainer. His father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and his mother is a purebred Kangal (a shepherd is the closest option available in the dropdown menu). Both parents are over 100 pounds so it is expected that he will be also once he is fully grown. He is sweet, calm, and a loyal companion. He will be a perfect dog for adults and he likes to play with other dogs. We desperately wanted Rex to be our forever dog but he is growing increasingly territorial and growls and lunges at our own kids if they invade his space. But, he is gentle to strangers and older children. He just prefers less intrusions to his space that we cannot give b/c of our 3 young kids. He is perfect with adults & older kids. Our hope is that Rex can go to a new environment that fits his needs better than our home. Rex loves to cuddle and will make a wonderful companion.
