This handsome, furry fellow is Jake! He arrived at the shelter as a lost boy on 9/24, and no one has come to reclaim him. Sweet Jake is how hoping for a new, forever home where he will be loved and kept safe so that he never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Jake as friendly and curious, and he has the softest coat! Jake will sit nicely for treats when asked. He gets excited when offered treats, so he'll need a little help learning to accept them gently! With a little patient guidance, he'll learn in no time. His motto is "stop and smell the flowers" along the way. Jake really likes to take his time on walks and sniff things. If you're looking for walking buddy who likes to amble along and take his time, please come meet Jake! Jake is approximately 3 years old, and he weighs 72 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, now neutered, and will be microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Jake is waiting patiently in run 883; his ID # is 662164. Meet Beary Tree Beary Tree is a stunning, 3 year old, Great Pyrenees mix. He weighs about 65 pounds. He has a medium energy level, is house trained, and working on crate training, but does well out in the house when left alone. This guy is Mr. Charisma. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He loves car rides and walks. Hikes are a big hit with Beary Tree too, but he can be barky when approaching other dogs. He is working on this and is making progress. His fluffy coat is silky soft and invites many pets which works for him since he feels that there are never enough of those. He loves hanging out in the yard, so a fenced yard is a good idea for this guy. Beary is a very intelligent dog who enjoys having something to do whether it is working on training, hiking, walking or whatever activity you love, he is up for it. On the flip side, he is also a big fan of daytime naps and just hanging out. Beary will do best in a home where he is your one and only four legged family member. This sweet boy is a joy and loves his people. He is going to be a great addition to a lucky home.
