Story
*Located at our South Georgia Location, Transportation to other states is not available. You must provide your own transportation.*  Hi there…my name is Thunder and I’m a Great Pyrenees mix. My daily activity include adventures at my foster home digging in the dirt, playing with my toys and chewing my bones which is my favorite. I also love to show off my Great Pyr Alert System and protect my yard.  I am crate trained.    I was rescued out of a hot truck by some nice ladies who got me all taken care of!  I’ve been spayed, microchipped, and I’m all up to date on my vaccines.     I'm a big, girl and I love playing with other dogs but I can not be around other dogs or small children when food or my water bowl  is around as they say I resource guard. I am currently being fostered in Sylvester, Georgia eagerly awaiting my forever home with a big fenced in yard. Her DNA test is shown in her photos.    An application to adopt is required.  This breed is NOT for a first time dog owner or anyone living in an apartment/townhouse or condo.  You must have a private yard. The adoption fee is $450 and the age requirement to adopt is  25 years old and over.    All dogs are spayed or neutered, chipped and up to date on  heartworm and flea preventative and all age appropriate vaccines.  ##1899268##

Story
Where to start? First and most obvious. I'm beautiful! Next, I'm a purebred 4 year old Great Pyrenees. I'm spayed and current on my vaccines. Like many Pyrs....I can be quirky. But, that doesn't get in the way of my being loving and cuddly! I'm fine with other dogs....once I spend a little time getting introduced. Actually, that's probably true for me in several ways. No one knows what " happened " to me. But I did end up in the shelter. For sure, my life was not a happy one. Men scare me....until I get to know them. But then I love them. I'm a herding guard dog, genetically. So, the good news, no one will come to your home " unannounced". I'm easily interested in things...and I'll bark if there's  too much going on. It's my job! To keep everyone safe. But, I wouldn't hurt a flea. I'm really kind and gentle and just  unsure of who to trust. But I'm working on that. I've have the nicest lady come to see me twice a week to help me be less nervous. We're working on leash walking and meeting men so I can  really relax and be my best loving self. For several reasons, I need a new forever home. None of this is my fault. There are health issues in my Family. They love me....and are heart broken, giving me up. But, the next part of my journey is coming up. A new home where I can truly thrive. GRSF says, for sure, my Angel will come looking for me. I can't wait.   Approved families in our adoption area email Lisa rjlph@outlook.com  Make sure your email includes your full name and let her know you have had your home visit, without this information, she will not be able to locate your application.   And if you are not approved yet, the adoption process starts with the application:  https://form.jotform.com/212596356273159  or visit our website to learn more www.goldenrescuesouthflorida.comNovember 11, 2024, 10:38 am
