Story
Linus is a fun, loving, goofy, bouncy Great Pyrenees that is over 100 lb of FUN FUN FUN! Breed experience is required to ensure the best home for Linus, someone that understands this breed's behavior, diet, and characteristics (and appreciates his big size). He's a fantastic dog that is ready for his forever home as a PET - not a farm/work dog.Due to his size, we reccomend no small childrenHe would do best as a solo dog, but could live with another dog with a slow introduction.Once again - BREED EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ISO a foster or forever home for Abby Luna #969. 8/12/24 update- Luna has been staying with our trainer and we learned she likes dogs, big and small! She wants to play but a dominate in your face dog would be too much. This girl is most likely a Great Pyrenees Mix ; we weren’t sure what she was when we took her because she was in terrible condition, missing most of her hair. Luna is 8 years old and weighs 55 pounds. She is sweet with people she knows but takes some time to warm up to strangers especially men. Though Luna has lived in a home with another dog, she would need slow introductions to the dog. She has lived with cats, but it takes some time for her to be ok with cats. Our behaviorist has worked with Luna and feels her confidence issues can be overcome if her adopters are dedicated to her training. Abby Luna also struggles with allergies and will need regular medicated baths, low allergen food. If you live in SW or Central Florida and are interested in Luna, please go to www.grrswf.org and fill out an application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Lady is an 8 year old Great Pyrenees(DNA tested) that was adopted 4 years ago by a great supporter and friend to GRRSWF. Unfortuately, her owner has to change her housing situation due to medical issues. The good news is that Lady has been very well cared for and spoiled with love. Lady weighs 85lbs and is a young 8. She does not show signs of aging. She is happy, gentle and easy going. She would love a fenced yard and a dog friend. She has not been tested with cats.  Here are some notes from her owner-   There is something in her past before I got her, that triggers something when she sees someone on a bicycle, e-bike, motorcycle or loud car. She gets very vocal (barks and growls) and wants to chase after it. She also does NOT like to be medicated! She is a Great Pyr that wants to be in control, and fights sedation.  She doesn't like to get her nails trimmed with a dremel, but does OK with a clipper. Her back double dew claws need trimming about once/month. She likes to bark, she's very strong so if leash walking will be her form of exercise, she'll need someone younger and strong. 99.9% of the time, she walks great on a leash. She makes everyone smile. She's friendly, happy, and just seems to love life. She is easy to take care of in that she's never destroyed/chewed anything in the house, she's never eaten anything that wasn't given to her, she has never gone potty inside (she held her bladder for 24 hours during hurricane Ian!), she doesn't bark to go out, or to eat, she gets along with all the other dogs she's met, and will not usually pester you for attention unless she's trying to "tell you" something. She would make an awesome Pet Therapy dog (kids LOVE her!).   FIREWORKS- She get very nervous and after hearing them doesn't want to go outside after dark for about 2 weeks as she knows they usualy go off after dark. She is not very food motivated for training; but loves praise and positive reinforcement. She also loves to see me get excited or happy. Because she is a "guardian" dog, she tends to be very focused on her surroundings and can be hard to keep her attention. Story
Bonnie and Clyde are sweet. They have been outdoor dogs on a mini farm. Bonnie would try to be a lap dog if you let her, Clyde does more of his own thing but still aims to please. They're young still, just a year old, lots of energy. Great with our 2 year old and 3 year old daughters. They listen when our girls say "no" but may forget their names when they're romping around with freedom. They're good with the large farm animals but need work around chickens. They are protectors and their bark will run off animal predators and unfamiliar people. No dietary restrictions. We would prefer to send Bonnie and Clyde together, they have a strong bond and don't like to separate.
