Story
Adoption donation $525 weight  70 lbs  Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024              Logan is a friendly and sweet boy who is the quintessential family dog, he adores children and just loves to be with his people. if you sit down, you will likely find his big head nestled on your lap. He loves toys and bones and is a very easy-going boy. Logan is 100% House trained.        Logan definitely needs a yard, this boy loves to be outside! He doesn’t go far, if you call him, he will come right over to you. he is leash trained and if you have a big enough crate, he will go in there for naps.         Logan’s father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom is a 35 lb mixed breed. His original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time. Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for Logan to find a loving home of his own.         Logan got along well with most of the dogs at the rescue, although he’s definitely the alpha male and does not like to be challenged by another male. In his foster home in the northeast Logan lived with three females, including a puppy who jumped all over him, and he just wagged his tail. We’ve noticed that he does fine with small and medium dogs but tends to get more alpha with dogs his size. For that reason, we would prefer a home with dogs smaller than him or just a home where he can be the center of attention, he really just loves people so much.        Logan has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a healthy boy who is ready to make a lucky family a loving companion. All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Story
We’re fostering Molly for Animals Lives Matter Of East Texas, an 9 year old female Great Pyrenees. She was completely matted and smelled terrible! 2.5 hours of shaving later, she’s no longer matted, panting and rested easy. Molly has gained weight and strength, and has learned how to use a doggy door. She is vaccinated, crate trained and gets along with everyone and everything (adults, children, dogs, cats, etc.) Molly does well in a busy home where there is a lot for her to watch over :) Click Here to visit Molly’s Facebook Album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.768317348810586&type=3

Story
Apply for Rubble Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Rubble, your potential best buddy, ready to fill your life with wagging tails and a sprinkle of charm. I made my grand entrance into this world on the enchanting day of July 20. While the experts are scratching their heads trying to decode my unique blend of Great Pyrenees, Terrier, and a touch of delightful mystery, one thing is crystal clear: I’m 100% pure, unadulterated cuteness, guaranteed to make your heart melt!   Here’s a fun fact—I’m all set for the world with my age-appropriate vaccines. Plus, I’ve got a nifty microchip and have been spayed, so I’m ready for whatever adventures come our way. Talk about being prepared!   Currently, I’m on a delightful journey of learning the ropes of being housebroken. It’s like solving a puzzle, and I’m getting the hang of it! Crate training is also part of my learning adventure, and I must say, it’s quite the cozy little den. But my absolute favorite part of the day is when I get to hang out with my special humans, making them laugh with my antics and showering them with unconditional love. I’m a sponge when it comes to learning, and I’d be over the moon if my future family took me to obedience classes. Imagine me becoming the smarty-paws of the group—how cool would that be?   In my social escapades, I’ve been rubbing paws with other dogs and kiddos, having the time of my life. I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting some curious cats, and I must say, they’re quite the intriguing bunch. Now, all that’s left is for my forever family to find me. I dream of the day when we can embark on endless adventures together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. So, if you’re looking for a furry friend to brighten your days, I’m here, wagging my tail in eager anticipation, hoping to meet you very soon!  ##2200977##

Story
My name is Flinstone and I’m a super handsome mixed breed that was born on July 20. I’ll be a medium to large guy fully grown and they think I’m a Great Pyrenees/Terrier, maybe some Australian Shepherd mix? Who really knows! I’m a handsome fella though!   I have quite a bit of energy in me so I would love for my forever home to play with me and give me some brain games! Fetch is my favorite! Hello there, fabulous folks! Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Flinstone, the irresistibly charming mixed breed pup born on the glorious day of July 20. Now, when it comes to my lineage, well, let's just say I'm a delightful blend with a hint of mystery! Experts suspect there's a bit of Great Pyrenees, a touch of Terrier, and maybe even a sprinkle of Australian Shepherd in my genes. But hey, who really knows? What truly matters is that I'm one dashing and debonair fellow, ready to steal your heart!   Now, let's talk energy—I've got it in spades! I'm like a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, always eager to bounce, frolic, and have a blast. I'm on the lookout for a forever home that shares my zest for life and is ready to dive into a world of playtime adventures. Brain games? Bring them on! I'm a curious canine who loves to put my noggin to the test. And when it comes to fetch, oh boy, it's my absolute favorite pastime! Just throw that ball, and watch me go!   Now, I must confess, I'm still getting the hang of this whole housebreaking and crate training business. But fear not! I'm a quick learner and super receptive to training. With a little patience and some tasty treats as motivation, I'll be an expert in no time!   But wait, there's more! I'm not just a handsome face with boundless energy—I'm also a social butterfly! I adore making new friends and get along splendidly with other dogs, cats, and even kids. Whether it's a game of tag, a cuddle session, or just hanging out, I'm up for it all. Life is an adventure, and I want to share it with as many pals as possible!   So, if you're looking for a playful, energetic, and all-around lovable companion, look no further! I'm Flinstone, and I'm ready to bring joy, laughter, and endless fun into your life.  Apply for Flinstone ##2200975##

Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 12-month-old Great Pyrenees. She and 2 others were found roaming the streets. One was hit by a car and the 2 are now with CCPAL Rescue. The Good Samaritan that brought them saw it all and has kept them till CCPAL could take them. She mentioned that she thought they were rejected by a breeder or maybe he didn’t want to do it anymore. When we took in Athena we didn’t know she was pregnant. We found out when we took her to be spayed so we allowed her to have the puppies. All the puppies have been adopted and now it is time for this gentle sweetheart to find her forever home. We are not sure why they were loose but Athena is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up and he is great with other dogs. She doesn’t know anything about leash walking but we will be working with her on leash skills. He is about 65 pounds and looks to be a good weight. This breed of dog is a Guardian dog and are known for their ability to protect a flock of animals from harm. She will need a fenced yard as this breed will roam without a fence. She has a wonderful long coat and will be great in the more northern and colder climates. We think he is a pure-bred GP pup but we are not breeders and he has not papers. We will say she is a mix. She would be great with another dog or as an only and fine with children. 8 or older are ideal. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees that was purchased initially from a breeder. She is a pure-bred GP pup. She weighs about 79 pounds and may be 90 lbs. full grown. The person that is surrendering her didn’t know this dog would be this large. She hasn’t been worked with a lot so has some puppy skills. She isn’t great on leash but we will work with that. A Great Pyrenees is a guardian breed and is a wonderful breed for children or with other animals. She is good with a cat and other dogs. She is also good in the car. She is not spayed yet but is on the schedule to be spayed soon. She has a long beautiful coat and would be a perfect breed for the cooler climates. The Great Pyrenees will need a fenced yard. The underground fencing won’t be good for this breed. She is more mellow but should have all the qualities people love about this breed. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
adoption donation $599 weight: 45 lbs Age: 2 years     Precious lives up to her name. She is a sweet and friendly dog who loves to run and play. Precious recently arrived at her foster home in the northeast and settled in quickly, she adores everyone she meets and her tail never stops wagging.     Precious is an active girl who loves to play with other dogs. Precious has such a loving and gentle demeanor, she will make a great family dog.    Precious was treated for heartworm last year and is negative now. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations and is spayed. She is housebroken.    We really aren’t sure of her breed, she seems to have some shepherd and maybe some Shibu Inu, when we put her pictures into a Dog Scanner app she comes up with all sorts of breeds  most of which we’ve never heard of! What we do know is that Precious is a really awesome dog!     Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  October 24, 2024, 11:01 am
