Story
Duncan Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd Mix Male, 1y  8m old, weight 55 pounds Duncan has the looks of a movie star and the personality of your goofy best friend. His long legs, shaggy coat, and soulful brown eyes make him a head-turner wherever he goes, but it’s his happy, playful demeanor that truly wins hearts. Duncan loves nothing more than exploring the outdoors—hikes and leisurely walks are his favorite activities (running? Not so much; he’s more about enjoying the journey). Duncan is all about his people, soaking up attention and giving it right back. He’s a toy aficionado who sometimes likes to stash his treasures for safekeeping, but he’ll happily show them off when it’s time to play. He takes treats gently and loves pets, cuddles, and a good laugh with his human companions. Cats are an amusing mystery to Duncan—he’s a little wary of them, but that just means he’s likely to respect their space. Duncan would thrive in a home where he’s the only dog and can be the center of attention. While he enjoys the company of other dogs during walks or outdoor adventures, he prefers not to share his food or toys, so a child-free, dog-free home would suit him best. His fun-loving, loyal nature and goofy charm make him an incredible companion for someone ready to give him the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate adventurer to join your family, Duncan is ready to be your perfect match!   House trained Crate trained Cats unknown   * The adoption fee of $475 includes age-appropriate vaccines, initial de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and transport fee.   * The application is the first step in all inquiries and adoptions     Canine Compassion Fund - Online Adoption Application www.caninecompassionfund.org/Forms/OnlineAdoptionApplication   * Additional information is available on our site caninecompassionfund.org December 21, 2024, 11:15 am

Everybody Loves Bonnie! They call her 'The Gentle Giant'. She considers everyone to be a friend. She is just very chill & calm--gets along with other dogs and cats. Cats are comfortable enough with her to even lay with her or rub up against her with no complaints from Bonnie. She will be your best buddy who is happy just laying on the sofa watching tv or riding with you in the car doing errands!! She LOVES car rides! You can take her to a dog friendly restaurant or a store and she will always be on her best behavior. She is a show stopper though! Everyone will want to stop you to meet her. BTW--Don't adopt her if you want a fetch dog. She is not a fetch dog. She is a dog that will expect you to do the fetching, while she lounges & relaxes, eating her favorite snack: processed meat! Bonnie rarely barks--she is very well behaved. She is housebroken and crate trained (super large crates only, of course! for this 90lb beauty IF you must crate her...), spayed, current on her shots and preventions... Are you her forever home that will love her and dote on her like the Queen she is? She is looking for a home that will realize that a 'queen' has just entered their lives and should be treated as such!

Story
Apply for Rubble Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Rubble, your potential best buddy, ready to fill your life with wagging tails and a sprinkle of charm. I made my grand entrance into this world on the enchanting day of July 20. While the experts are scratching their heads trying to decode my unique blend of Great Pyrenees, Terrier, and a touch of delightful mystery, one thing is crystal clear: I’m 100% pure, unadulterated cuteness, guaranteed to make your heart melt!   Here’s a fun fact—I’m all set for the world with my age-appropriate vaccines. Plus, I’ve got a nifty microchip and have been spayed, so I’m ready for whatever adventures come our way. Talk about being prepared!   Currently, I’m on a delightful journey of learning the ropes of being housebroken. It’s like solving a puzzle, and I’m getting the hang of it! Crate training is also part of my learning adventure, and I must say, it’s quite the cozy little den. But my absolute favorite part of the day is when I get to hang out with my special humans, making them laugh with my antics and showering them with unconditional love. I’m a sponge when it comes to learning, and I’d be over the moon if my future family took me to obedience classes. Imagine me becoming the smarty-paws of the group—how cool would that be?   In my social escapades, I’ve been rubbing paws with other dogs and kiddos, having the time of my life. I’ve even had the pleasure of meeting some curious cats, and I must say, they’re quite the intriguing bunch. Now, all that’s left is for my forever family to find me. I dream of the day when we can embark on endless adventures together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. So, if you’re looking for a furry friend to brighten your days, I’m here, wagging my tail in eager anticipation, hoping to meet you very soon!  ##2200977##

Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 12-month-old Great Pyrenees. She and 2 others were found roaming the streets. One was hit by a car and the 2 are now with CCPAL Rescue. The Good Samaritan that brought them saw it all and has kept them till CCPAL could take them. She mentioned that she thought they were rejected by a breeder or maybe he didn’t want to do it anymore. When we took in Athena we didn’t know she was pregnant. We found out when we took her to be spayed so we allowed her to have the puppies. All the puppies have been adopted and now it is time for this gentle sweetheart to find her forever home. We are not sure why they were loose but Athena is a wonderful dog. She doesn’t jump up and he is great with other dogs. She doesn’t know anything about leash walking but we will be working with her on leash skills. He is about 65 pounds and looks to be a good weight. This breed of dog is a Guardian dog and are known for their ability to protect a flock of animals from harm. She will need a fenced yard as this breed will roam without a fence. She has a wonderful long coat and will be great in the more northern and colder climates. We think he is a pure-bred GP pup but we are not breeders and he has not papers. We will say she is a mix. She would be great with another dog or as an only and fine with children. 8 or older are ideal. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees that was purchased initially from a breeder. She is a pure-bred GP pup. She weighs about 79 pounds and may be 90 lbs. full grown. The person that is surrendering her didn’t know this dog would be this large. She hasn’t been worked with a lot so has some puppy skills. She isn’t great on leash but we will work with that. A Great Pyrenees is a guardian breed and is a wonderful breed for children or with other animals. She is good with a cat and other dogs. She is also good in the car. She is not spayed yet but is on the schedule to be spayed soon. She has a long beautiful coat and would be a perfect breed for the cooler climates. The Great Pyrenees will need a fenced yard. The underground fencing won’t be good for this breed. She is more mellow but should have all the qualities people love about this breed. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180.
