Story
Daisy, great pyrenees, female, 9 yo, 95 lbSweet Daisy was surrendered by the breeder because she was not fit for breeding any more. She spent her life in a kennel with a dog run and was quite cautious at first to go cross country in our big yard. Now she enjoys the freedom to run and the smell of rain and grass. Good with dogs. She is super sweet, calm and a little shy at first. She would love to be part of a family at last. She is our favorite and brings lots of joy to everyone she meets! Daisy needs a fenced yard with least 5' tall fence as she can run very fast and far. Adoption fee $325. Story
Hello, I'm Rooney and even though I'm a big boy, I am polite and gentle and sweet. I know lots of commands like sit, down, stay, drop it and ok. I am very social and like to meet new dogs and people. I am potty trained and crate trained. I like to go with the flow and even though I have a lot of energy to give, I don't mind snuggling up by your feet while you work or relax in the evenings. My tender personality makes me eager to find a family to bond with forever! I will do best in a home with no young children, I like to herd them as my instincts tell me to!  ##1744898##

Story
Oliver is the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Hes great with other animals of all shapes and sizes from our experience. He loves cuddling and endless scratches. He has a small bladder so frequent potty breaks will be needed. Trained to sit, stay, wait, come, shake and place but he pretends he can’t hear sometimes! He does have a tendency to resource guard. Mainly growling if hes eating and another animal gets nearby so he needs to be fed in a separate room from children/animals.

Story
Hugo is a really funny, sweet boy who loves to play and cuddle on the couch. We rescued him when he was about 3 months old. He’s about 4 years old now, and we had a really amazing 3 years with him with our older dog, Bruce, and cat. Bruce passed last Dec and Hugo has been slowly showing us that he can no longer live with other animals. At first, he was depressed because of the loss of Bruce, and we adopted a puppy so he’’d have a companion. He did great with her, but after a few months, started aggressively chasing our cat. A few months after that, he was no longer good with our puppy. We have been pursuing care with a behavioral vet and have not made much progress. He may need time finding the right meds to help him with his anxiety, but maybe he’ll be just fine in a quieter home. He’s such a lush around adults, but he’s very freaked out by kids. He does not have separation anxiety, he is not destructive. He is a little reactive on leash, but training has been effective.

Story
Meet Milo! Milo is a Great Pyrenees mix who'll be 2 years old in February 2025. He's funloving, energetic and he loves people. Sadly, his person is having some health issues and needs to find a new home for Milo. He'll do great in a household with active people. He'd love to have a dog friend, but he isn't great with kitties (he thinks they're for chasing). He needs a fenced yard to run around in. He was crate-trained when he was a puppy, but he's been sleeping on the bed with his person for the last few months. This boy has had some anxiety issues where he's nervous around new people at first, but he warms up quickly. He's on a medication that helps him with this. Milo walks nicely with a harness. He has responded well to training but his person hasn't been able to walk him for very long recently because of her health issues. Milo will bark a bit when he sees other dogs on a walk, but his training from here on out could focus on that issue. Milo is housetrained, loves toys and especially likes to play tug. For more info and/or to apply to adopt Milo, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
