Story
Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2255553##

Story
Puppy Perfection - Meet the Marvelous Daisy! 🌸🐕 Hello Colorado dog lovers! Allow me to introduce the extraordinary Daisy. This pointer mix is just 7 months young, weighing in at 60 lbs of pure puppy joy with plenty more growing to do! Daisy is the total package - beautiful, brilliant, and brimming with energy and eagerness to learn. She's a serious treat motivation training rockstar who already knows sit, down, no, and her name. This smart cookie is doggie door trained and will politely alert you when she needs to go out. Daisy's quest for knowledge continues as she's picking up leash manners like a pro! But don't let her impressive obedience skills fool you - Daisy's favorite pastime is entertaining herself by launching toys in the air or engaging in a most elite fly chasing circuit. When she's not supervising the yard for avian infractions, you'll find this velvety bundle of snuggles glued to your side, angling for tummy rubs and ear scratches. While Daisy's heart is stuffed with more love than a teddy bear, she hasn't quite mastered the "fetch" game just yet. But no worries - she'll make up for it by being your most loyal hiking buddy, jog bestie, or backyard ball-launching champion! Daisy can't wait to meet her new active, adventurous crew to call her own. She's ready to smoosh face-first into your life, lavishing you with cuddles and kisses as your ultimate outdoor romping, park exploring, Frisbee retrieving (eh, maybe one day) companion. All Daisy needs is a fenced yard, some dog pals to tumble with, and your smitten family to dote on her! If Daisy sounds like your type of girl please apply at https://www.fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED! I AM CAT AND CHICKEN FRIENDLY!!! Hi, my name is Griffin the big white dog. Unlike the other big red dog, I don’t cause any mischief. I’m very laid back, like attention, non destructive, good on walks, and non reactive to other dogs. I am very good with the household senior dog and cat. Although I’m a 4 yr old male Great Pyrenees mix, sitting at about 60 lb’s, I’m not that big of an eater or shedder. I am more of an indoor dog, and I will let you know if I see someone near your house. I am a gentle giant as I never jump and I take treats nicely. I come when I’m called and really just enjoy lounging around without attempting to get on any furniture. I am up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and ready for your application. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2128000##

Story
Meet Miss Jalapeno! This sweet and loving pup is as cuddly as she is playful. She enjoys snuggling, playing with the young child and other dogs in her foster home, and even has a little mischievous side—like swiping stuffed animals from the 5-year-old girl! Though Miss Jalapeno had a rough start and was hit by a car, she’s one of the happiest pups you’ll meet. She sustained injuries to her hind end, but she’s still able to live an active and joyful life. The rescue is waiting for a specialist to review her x-rays, but don’t let that deter you—she’s a resilient little girl. Given that we’re monitoring her injuries, a foster-to-adopt situation would be ideal for Miss Jalapeno. Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  **Dogs in a foster home will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets. ** ##1675180##

Story
With urgency due to a medical condition with my fiancé, his main owner, in our home, we are unable to keep our beloved Judd. He is a Great Pyrness Lab mix weighing about 120 pounds. He’s a 5 year old, beautiful, big boy with a lot of personality, love and is very protective of his owners and house. We’ve started to train him and he responds well but he needs more training in the future. He is crate trained and enjoys it. He’d be best as the only dog in the home and with kids 10 years and older. He loves belly rubs, walks, going to Petsmart, playing in a big backyard, camping (from the last foster).   This is a very urgent situation. If interested please contact me directly at Shari Taylor 720.366.1266 or email autumnbeauty11@gmail.com   This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. November 14, 2024, 11:35 pm

Story
Hello, I'm Mo! I'm the sweetest, friendliest, most curious dog you'll ever meet. I've lived most of my life outdoors, so I could adapt again to that life or life inside loving you. I do good in a kennel and seem to be pretty well potty-trained. I'm selective about other dogs so a proper introduction is a must. I absolutely LOVE my belly rubbed.  If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##2032005##
