Story
Hugo is a really funny, sweet boy who loves to play and cuddle on the couch. We rescued him when he was about 3 months old, and he’s 4 years old now. He is a truly excellent dog and we love him to pieces. He’s smart, and clever. He loves to play chase, frisbee is a great game to get some physical energy out. He knows: loose leash walking, heel/working walk, down, bed, shake. He is crate trained. He’s extremely food motivated. He is the sweetest greeter, he’s all waggles when his people get home. Sometimes he is aloof, but he’s almost always around. A dogTV subscription for him is almost a must! Sometimes I invite him into my home office and he looks at the tv instead, clearly asking if he can watch his shows. He can be reactive and anxious, but we’ve done a lot of very effective work with him. We havent been able to train him out of resource guarding against our cat and other dog. He has never resource guarded against people. He may be able to live with a larger, confident dog.

Story
Gaius has been with our family since he was a puppy. As he has grown, one of our children has developed an allergy to his hair. He is great with other dogs and our four children - he can be nervous around strangers, but is a sweet and gentle giant. He is neutered, microchipped, and potty-trained fully.

Story
Hi, my name is Stella but I go by Stellie-Bellie. I am here in Colorado searching for my furever family all the way from Texas. When I first arrived here I was not feeling my best. But after some TLC, antibiotics, and anti-itch medicine I am good as new! I do have some weakness and instability in my hind legs but that doesn't stop me from getting the zoomies before bedtime! Plus the vet said my x-rays look good! True to her breed, Stella enjoys sunbathing in the yard and being stubborn when being called in. Despite her stubborn nature, Stella is eager to please and responds well to praise. She enjoys dividing her time between laying in the sun, protecting the yard and snuggled up at her humans feet. Stella gets along well with other dogs with slow introduction but would do best in a home with a submissive, low energy dog or as an only pet. We are still working on potty training and counter surfing, but with gentle correction, she is making good progress. Stella continues to have weakness in her hind legs but they do not seem to be in pain and doesn't stop her from enjoying running and playing. Her hip x-ray did not show any signs of problems. She had bad allergies and skin infections upon first arrival, but with a beef diet and allergy medicine, this issue is nearly completely resolved. Though needing a little extra love, Stella is such a sweetie and everyone that has met her has instantly fallen in love. If you have room in your heart and home, apply to meet miss Stellie.

Story
Meet Antonio, a handsome and gentle male Great Pyrenees. This guy is around 2 years old, has already captured the hearts of everyone at the shelter with his docile, shy personality, and is just begging for someone to love him! Tony is a true representation of the saying "gentle giant". Despite his large size and strong stature, he is a calm and docile dog who would love a family with patience and love to help transition him into his new life.
