Story
Rosa is a beauty! She loves leisurely walks, squeaky toys, and zooming around in a fenced in yard. Rosa enjoys meeting people and loves to learn! She will enjoy joining you on your springtime adventures and is ready to be your silly sidekick. We analyzed Rosa's DNA and it confirmed she is indeed a Great Pyrenees and ABDT crossbreed. Fun! Her ideal environment will have a large, fenced area for recreation, and a family that can plan her walks at low-traffic times of the day. Rosa is required to be the only dog in her new home, and is recommended for older or no children at this time. Rosa is what we lovingly call a Golden Nugget - a pet whose shine only grows brighter once you take the time to know her! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 63.5 Age: 6yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL  about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, including information on history, vaccines, etc.    Jethro and Elly May were raised on a ranch.  Their owner could no longer afford to feed them and took them to the shelter.  We believe they are full siblings, Great Pyrenees mixes, but Jethro looks like he has some Anatolian shepherd in him as well.  They were put on the euthanasia list - only due to overcrowding.  We stepped in and pulled them out one hour before they were scheduled to be put down.  Elly May was very sick, and Jethro was extremely stressed out.  It took time and excellent medical care but they pulled through and settled in well.  They are now healthy, fixed, and all shots are up to date.  Elly May is about 65 pounds, Jethro is 80-85 lbs.  She is a goofy princess, he is a big, lovable galumph.      They are a bonded pair — very sweet, cuddly, and gentle with people, although we would recommend older kids.  We don't know whether they were previously used to guard livestock, but they are well-suited for it — extremely smart, independent, and trainable.  They love chew toys and running around outdoors.  They have not been in the car much, and can be hesitant to get in, but they are very chill once they're inside.  They are good in the house, fully house trained, but they love being outdoors, and are natural guardians.  They are always curious and love to go new places and do new things.  If kept purely as pets, they will need lots of exercise and/or a lot of space to roam and patrol.  They do poorly when confined, due to their shelter trauma - they are not crate dogs.  They do have a prey drive and would likely require training before being let loose around cats or smaller animals.     They are the absolute sweetest and will make incredibly loving, loyal additions to your household.  Please call us at 323-610-7002 or email:  information@comeandstay.org - and if you leave a message, please note that you are calling about Jethro and Elly May.   April 13, 2026, 6:56 pm

Story
Meet Bear & Jack — Two Heart-Stealing Pups Looking for Their Forever Homes!  These two handsome boys are ready to bring joy, loyalty, and lots of love into the right families! Bear and Jack are 6-month-old Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mixes — a combination that gives them the best of both worlds: the calm, gentle nature of the Pyrenees and the bright, energetic spirit of the Aussie. Their Background Mom is a full-blooded Great Pyrenees and Dad is a purebred Australian Shepherd, making these boys a beautifully balanced mix of two incredible breeds. Both pups have had two rounds of vet-checked vaccinations and worming, with one more visit to go — so they're well on their way to a clean bill of health! What They Already Know These boys are fast learners (thank you, Aussie genes!). Both Bear and Jack:  Sit on command  Are crate trained  Get along great with other dogs and kids  Love people and thrive on human interaction  BEAR — The Gentle Giant Bear is the bigger of the two brothers and carries that classic Pyrenees soul — calm, thoughtful, and wonderfully sweet. He likes to take his time sizing up a new situation before he opens his heart, but once he does, watch out — this boy is pure love. If you're looking for a laid-back, loyal companion who will be your steady shadow, Bear is your guy.  JACK — The Social Butterfly Jack is all Aussie energy and charm! Outgoing, gregarious, and never shy about letting you know how he feels (yes, he loves to use his voice ), Jack is the life of the party. He thrives on attention and will keep you laughing and on your toes. If you want an enthusiastic, fun-loving pup who's always up for an adventure, Jack is ready! Bear and Jack are being adopted out separately, so each one gets to be the star of his own story. Apply on EAPL.com to meet these amazing boys.  April 13, 2026, 6:56 pm
