Story
We discovered our 3 year old daughter has skin allergies to our dog and we have no other choice but to find a new happy home for Parm. Parm is an extremely loving and loyal dog with a lazy personality. She is happiest in a place with a large yard where she has space to roam. We recently moved to a townhome and this is not ideal for her. She is great with our two young children, but can take some time warming up to new people. Due to some anxiety, she can be protective and territorial of her space and her people, but not an issue if properly managed, or if there is a large yard for her to lounge. Parm is a 7.5 year old, 75 lb Great Pyrenees Mix. She is up to date on her shots, vaccines, etc which have always been maintained via Banfield Health. She is not on any special medication and is a very low maintenance dog. We adopted her as a 10 week old puppy and spent significant time on puppy training and professional behavioral training. We love her very much and hope you do too.

Story
3/10/22: Nova now needs a new experienced foster home or forever home as the only dog. She did great with adopter's 2 adult dogs but now at 9 mos. old she wants to the top alpha dog at home. With her people she is very sweet smart attentive treat motivated and loves snuggling. She needs to be the only dog in home. No other dog or cats in home. From her foster/adopters: She is a big active girl who loves walks playing fetch and splashing around in her kiddie pool. Nova was originally adopted by her foster family who have had her since she was 9 weeks old and absolutely adore her. Unfortunately despite growing up with their other dogs and doing great with them as a small puppy as she grew to be the largest member of the pack she became reactive toward other dogs. Her family has worked with trainers on this issue. She is a very smart girl and is improving in public settings. Unfortunately Nova is just not well-suited for life in a multi-dog household. Nova is cuddly and lovable with her people. She is a highly trainable girl as she is very food-motivated and a fast learner. She has been through puppy training and excelled in agility activities. She does well in a crate. Nova is a sweet girl who just needs some solo attention. She would do well with an experienced handler in a home with no other animals or small children. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ejWd5yRDRpNBCQCt8 Below is from Nova's original posting in 2021: We took in Nova from a kind lady that rescued her mom from a field in Bakersfield. Mom was starved and very skinny. Most likely dumped. Soon mom gave birth to one puppy. The guardian took her mom to her vet and had x-rays done and no other pups. Nova is very special. Lady that found her already has 2 dogs (one senior dog with medical needs) and busy work schedule so she asked us to take in Nova to ensure her puppy training care and socials. Nova is doing great at her foster home. She has huge paws double rare dew claws fluffy and very sweet. Not sure what breed mix she is. Mom is 60 lbs and very sweet. She will need a home with yard prefer another dog at home and experience with large dogs. Nova will be ready in 2-3 weeks after all her vet care. More info. to come. 8/21/21 update: It took her 4-5 days to start playing with foster home's dog. Will chase the ball and chewing. Does like to dig. Loves food and treats. Going out to yard for potty biz and few accidents inside.November 4, 2024, 2:12 pm

Story
Frankie - are you looking for an adorable, smart, loyal guardian? If so, Frankie is your puppy. The three primary breeds that made up the majority of his DNA test were the amazing combination of Great Pyrenees, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepard. His loyalty is already shining through at four months of age - he always wants to be right next to his foster mom, who he also loves to cuddle with. He is incredibly smart and highly food-motivated. He loves to play with the other dogs in the house, even the 120lb Great Pyrenees, but he is also great at entertaining himself. He loves to go for car rides, and did great on a recent camping trip to Oregon. He is currently around 35lb, but will likely be 70-80lbs when he is full grown, so be prepared for a big dog. Frankie is house-trained, has had all of his puppy vaccines, microchipped, neutered and ready to meet his forever family. He is currently being fostered in the Sacramento area.       November 4, 2024, 8:30 pm

Story
This is Rocket - he’s a people pleaser who love companionship and attention. He’ll follow us around the house and lay at our feet when we’re home. He’s been through training as a puppy though he needs continual practice and learning. He is a lover who has a silly smiley face. He is very loyal and eager to please. He has a lot of energy and doesn’t know his own size / strength. He thinks he is the size of a lap dog and will love to cuddle up with you. He’s not great with all other dogs or people. Proper introduction is needed as he is very protective of his family / home (he can bite them as he is a protector). He may take time to adjust but is a lover once done so. When on walks, he sometimes bites us while out of excitement / overwhelmed when he sees other dogs / people on the street. We have other male dogs in the house and it is obvious that he is trying to claim dominance. He is a great dog but is in need of an owner that can give him time, training, love and patience.
