Story
Sunny days are here for our sweet girl Sunny! She had a rough start in life, but we were able to rescue her and things have been looking up ever since!!! Sunny is around 9-12 mos old and we think she is a purebred Pyr. She is super sweet but she also has her protective side. We think she would be a great guardian dog but she has not been tested. She is fostered with many other dogs and loves to play but can get protective around her humans. She is super food motivated for easy training. She loves to be outside and has indoor/outdoor access thru a doggy door. She is doing great on her potty training. If you are interested in meeting Sunny please fill out an application https://www.ozziespoundpuppies.org/applications/adoption-application/ Adoption fee is $300 and includes spay, vaccines, microchip and Nexgard.

Story
Due to unforeseen life changes, we are seeking to rehome Maile. She is a trained, 5-year-old 1/2 Great Pyr, 1/2 Anatolian Shepard who is gentle and calm with humans (specifically young children and older folks). She heels well on leash and is content with a couple of walks/day. We are working on recall and in my backyard, she will come when called. If there is a commotion outside, she'll alert you but would rather lie in the sun. She enjoys riding in the car while running errands and will patiently wait for you to pop into a store. She's affectionate and likes to be with her people though can be aloof and independent. She is a surveyor. She'll walk the house or the property line to make sure all is good. Though she is a tall girl, she isn't food-driven and doesn't counter surf (unless you leave her alone and something attractive within easy access). She has guarding instincts so I don't suggest dog parks. I believe she would fit well into a family preferably in a rural environment.

Story
Thelma is a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix approximately 4 years old. With her stunning white coat that resembles a Golden Retriever, she is sure to steal your heart. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her vaccinations.  Thelma came to us very sweet but insecure. Channa with K9 Paw Patrol graciously volunteered her time to work with Thelma and what a difference she has made for her! Here are the comments she made on her Facebook page about working with Thelma... "Lets welcome our beautiful girl Thelma! Thelma comes from a rescue that works as a team and the closest family I have personally ever met to find these beautiful dogs homes. Thelma is a Great Pyrenees that looks a little bit like a husky but had a lot of low self esteem and confidence due to a very unforgiving background as to how she ended up in the rescue. She came to me in hopes that we could get her to open up a little bit and learn how to do something she had never known before...Trust, and show us the goofy girl we know she is. Thelma isn't too sure about new people and had a hard time adapting to new environments. Thelma came to me as a very skittish, shy and jumpy girl. In the few weeks of training, she gained confidence and started opening up a little bit. She started looking to me for guidance, instead of completely avoiding eye contact and began trusting me to show her the ropes. She needs someone who can give her the love, care, patience and kindness that she desperately needs." And here are some videos of Thelma in action... Walking on leash:  https://videos.files.wordpress.com/UtRub028/thelma-vid-leash-1.mp4 Confidence-building and impulse control at Home Depot: https://videos.files.wordpress.com/GMbLBGOI/thelma-vid-hd-1.mp4 https://videos.files.wordpress.com/9iZr133p/thelma-vid-hd-2.mp4 Thelma loves to go on walks and does well indoors. Thelma dreams of finding her forever home...an indoor haven with an active family who will take her on magical walks and adventures! NOTE: Despite her breed, Thelma is NOT a suited to be a livestock guardian dog. January 7, 2025, 10:23 pm

Story
Leo is a gorgeous 6YO Great Pyrenees mix who was rescued from death row at the Contra Costa County Animal Shelter. He is a medium-energy, joyful, affectionate, and dog-friendly dog. He is potty and crate-trained, knows basic obedience (he loves to sit for treats!) and walks well on a leash (he is working on pulling) and is very eager to please. The perfect home for Leo would be a loving, conscientious owner or family with older kids. We do not recommend children under 12 in the home, as Leo is a big dog who can jump or pull on a leash when excited and is prone to resource-guarding his food. Leo would thrive in a home where he can go on a daily walk (or two) and get the love he deserves. Leo loves to go for car rides and likes to lounge around the house and be part of the pack. He is a flexible dog with a chill personality - he would do well in a busy urban OR rural setting. He can hike and walk a lot, or a little - he will mesh into your lifestyle. We've walked him in the hills around cows and turkeys and also on very busy urban streets and he just ambles along - happy to be out with you. If interested in meeting wonderful Leo, please complete an application at www.jellysplace.org. Leo is neutered, microchipped and UTD on vaccines. Leo is available for foster or adoption and qualified applicants will be contacted. Leo's adoption fee is 50% sponsored by a Jelly's Place volunteer.
