Nimbus is a gentle & friendly Great Pyrenees that entered the shelter as a stray on 1/28/24, he arrived very skinny & underweight with infected ears and one of them bleeding. He arrived with the name Nimbus on his registered microchip, but sadly all the contact information is no longer up to date leaving the shelter with no way to locate his mom & dad of his whereabouts. Our rescue has had him for quite awhile -- He currently in a foster home However they want to return him since he having resource guarding and food aggression issues. As there not experienced with this breed. He full vaccinated, update on shots and microchip as well. He would be best as only dog -- NO kids in the home --- Other then that -- super sweet boy -- potty trained -- good on Leash as well. Estimated to be 8-10 months old -- we rescued him from having parvo- we saved his life. Unfortunately he not good in the car only because he gets car sick. June Bug is a beautiful, sweet, friendly girl. I believe almost 2 years old now, healthy, spayed, and up to date on all her shots. She loves people, can be very lazy and snuggles all the time. We found her at a California animal shelter, she already knew how to sit, shake, and fetch. She is fully potty trained. Her time had almost run out at the shelter and we couldn't stand to think of her not having a chance. We have a elderly chihuahua that have only gotten worse and my elderly mother that lives with us is a bit more fragile these days, but she poses a falling risk. June is wonderful in many ways, but she is not very graceful with my mom who has already had a hip replacement and uses a cane.

But the only thing is my toddler is afraid of him since he is a large dog. Althought we love him very much, we are afraid my child might develop a dislike of dogs due to his size. We wish to find him a home with an owner who will enjoy Giannis company and give him the love and care he deserves.

Blue is a 3 year old gentle giant Great Pyrenees with a heart of gold and a smile that lights up a room. This boy was saved from an overcrowded Bakersfield shelter and is loyal to the core. He loves to be with people and kids 13 years and older and will lay his head on your lap for as long as you let him. Blue loves to play with other dogs. He is the sweetest soul with the softest white coat and ocean blue eyes and is ready to be a part of your family. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. The Lovejoy Foundation, Inc. does not adopt beyond a 30 mile radius from our headquarters in Inglewood.
