RODEO HAS GOTTEN ALONG WITH DOGS WE HAVE INTRODUCED HIM TO THAT ARE HIS OWN SIZE. PROPER INTRODUCTION WOULD BE NEEDED TO EVALUATE IF HE'S GOING TO GET ALONG WITH AN EXISTING DOG IN A HOME BUT BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE AND STRENGTH, WE BELIEVE HE WOULD BE A GOOD MATCH FOR A DOG HIS SIZE. APPLICANTS MUST LIVE IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES IN AN ADULT-ONLY HOME (NO APARTMENTS) WITH A PRIVATE YARD. RODEO is the definition of a Rhinestone Cowboy! Not only does he have stunning good looks, but his DNA results prove that he is quite a unique gem of Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie. Our rescue has been working with a certified professional dog trainer to help us get to know Rodeo and set him up for success. Rodeo is an incredible dog that would do best with an adopter that has experience with the large working breeds and structure in the home. He would not be a good dog for a first-time dog owner. Mostly comprised of Great Pyrenees, he has the potential to be protective of his family. He doesn’t know his own strength and size at times, so we have been working on him staying calm and focusing on his handler. Because of Rodeo’s grand stature, he would require a home with a yard (NOT AN APARTMENT) and no small children that he could inadvertently knock over or small pets. Rodeo estimated date of birth is January, 2019. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and whoever is lucky enough to adopt this rooty tooty cowboy will get an in-home dog training lesson as part of his adoption. The goodest of boys! This is Cannoli... a wonderful family dog. He would do great with an active family. He is a little bit clumsy, so probably no wee ones. He is a dream on a leash, crate trained, very respectful when out and about. Loves cuddles and other dogs. He goes to the dog park and has a blast. He is a couple years old and weighs 76 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Nimbus is super friendly towards all humans, including little ones. He would benefit from having a large space to roam when he feels like it but he seems to prefer hanging with his people. He gets along well with female dogs and cats that he has been introduced to. He can be aggressive towards other male dogs. He is a barker as Great Pyrenees tend to be. I can imagine Nimbus would enjoy some livestock to watch over but I have not put that to the test. My wish for him is a loving person (or persons) who can spend time with him and provide him with some space to patrol.

As much as I love her, I need to rehome my baby girl, Josie. My work schedule has changed so that I’m working 12+hrs weekdays & traveling every weekend. She deserves to be in a home that has more time & space for her. She is territorial of her home & protective of me on our walks. I have spent thousands of dollars & countless hours on training. While she has improved greatly, she will definitely need additional training. I’ve never had her off leash around other dogs so am unsure how she would do but has shown some same sex aggression. She does great with my cats & reptiles other than getting a too rough from too much pent up energy. She seems to do better with women & kids. I’m am willing to drive her to where she will have the best life. She will definitely need a large, fenced yard to run around. She is on flea prevention & recently had full blood work that all came back good. She will come with all her belongings including her crate (that she rarely uses anymore).

Jolene and her babies were left tied to the front door and babies in a box. just hour old at the local shelter. Jolene and her babies will be ready at the end of October, beginning of November, when they have been altered and up to date on shots and micro-chipped. There are 7 boys and 2 girls plus Momma Jolene. Adoption fees for the Puppies will be $650.00 and Jolene's fee will be $500.00. We are currently accepting applications. Daisy is a 4 ½ month old female Anatolian Shepard Mix pup who was surrendered to Lovejoy by her owner who realized she did not have the time to spend with this lovable girl due to her work schedule. Daisy is an adorable pup who is playful and loves to learn new tricks. She is good with kids and other dogs. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week.
