Story
If Kindrow had a theme song, it would be “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. He loves everything about country life; wide open spaces, a slower pace, the morning sounds of farm animals, the fresh scent of dew-covered grass, and simple living. We didn’t realize this until he moved to his current foster, who lives on a country property. It’s like he was born for this life! Hence his nickname: "Kickback Country Boy." But Kindrow is more than just a country-loving pup… he's your best friend and the sidekick you never knew you needed. Watch his video, and you’ll be clicking that adoption link in no time: https://youtu.be/Wjc8DaDIUYs?si=ngyBEd9WFlDqbbrH Kindrow is tall with a big, blocky head, possibly a Great Dane, Mastiff, or Boxer mix. As a rescue, we can only guess his breed. Despite his size, he’s a total softie, weighing just 74 lbs and around 1.5 years old. Mornings with Kindrow are peaceful. He’ll snuggle all night, never stirring, and even lets you sleep in. When you wake, you’ll find him lounging on the patio, watching the sunrise, waiting to start the day. Living on a farm, he’s great with animals. Horses, chickens, ducks, and cows don’t faze him. During the day, he follows his foster off-leash while tending to the animals or doing chores. In town, he’s the perfect errand buddy, riding shotgun, simply enjoying the trip. If he stays home, his foster checks in via a doggy camera and finds him either patiently looking out the window or napping with a stuffy toy. No troublemaking here! He’s also crate-trained, and has been known to go up to 14 hours with no accidents. At bedtime, he’ll wait for an invitation onto the bed; a true gentleman and great housemate. Kindrow is gentle and patient with children, even as young as four. While he tolerates loud noises and quick movements, he prefers older kids (14+) who respect his space and enjoy more structured play, like fetch or tag. If younger kids visit occasionally, he’ll be just fine, as long as his home is generally relaxed. Kindrow enjoys doggy friends of all sizes but does best with medium-energy, submissive females who prefer gentle play over nonstop roughhousing. He’s also great with small dogs, respecting their space and size. He even met Mateo, a 12-lb pup, and after some initial shyness, they became best friends—sharing toys, treats, and snuggles. However, he needs a cat-free home. He somehow knows chickens are friends, but cats are not. Kindrow is leash-trained, knows basic commands, and is highly food-motivated, making training easy and fun. He’ll love bonding over learning new tricks! If your days include fishing at the pond, sitting around a firepit, working on the land, taking back-road drives, or just watching the sunset, Kindrow is your perfect match. He even enjoys kicking back to watch your favorite show! We’re happy to test him with anything you need to ensure he’s the right fit. Just ask! Ready to make Kindrow part of your family? I can almost certainly guarantee that we are thinking the exact same thing. Chewy McLoving eyes are some of the most captivating, soulful, full of life eyes you have ever seen. Well great minds think alike because we feel the exact same way. Chewy is more than his handsome good looks though. He is the definition of happy, loves loves loves people, always up for an adventure, smarter than a whip, playful boy with other dogs, and loves kids! Watch his video and you'll know he is the dog for you: https://youtu.be/tab3YSTqzEU?si=GPddAbhCOG6ZgWd- Chewy is a believed to be a Great Dane pittie mix because of those long legs of his and that big head. He is estimated to be around 2 years old and currently weighs 66 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Chewy is dog friendly and loves to play with other dogs. He loves to play chase, engage in those rumble and tumble moments, and is the life of the party. Although Chewy likes to have fun and loves to play, he also enjoys those calmer moments as well. He enjoys basking in the sun on hot sunny days, hanging out with his doggy friends in the yard, and relaxing with his humans. In a home, he would do best with a dog that has a similar play style as him, likes to engage in those rumble and tumble moments, and won't be bothered when Chewy "talks" to them. Chewy is so funny in play groups and when he is trying to get a dog to play with him. He'll stand there and bark to his friends like he is saying "come on lets go have some fun" hoping that the other dogs will say yes. He really is a character. If you don't have other dogs, that's no problem for Chewy. He does not need the company of other dogs to keep him entertained or help him feel comfortable. He is a happy go-lucky fun guy all on his own. Chewy has a great sense of adventure! He would love to go explore those hiking trails you have pinned on the map, join you for a day trip to the beach, or even going on a camping trip. We see him being such a great adventure buddy that you could almost take anywhere. He walks great on a leash only pulling ever so often when he gets excited and only needs a subtle correction and he's walking like a gentleman again. He would also be just as happy going for a walk in the park or playing a game of fetch in the backyard if you're not feeling up for an adventure that day. Regardless of what the day looks like, Chewy will end every day snuggled up with you in bed, on the couch, or on his own doggy bed, enjoying the rest of a relaxing evening by your side. To add to Chewy's greatness, he is also incredibly smart and treat motivated too. He loves to make people happy and will do anything for a treat. Both great qualities to have for learning new tricks and further continued training if you so please. He already knows a handful of tricks already such as sit, shake, and drop it. His house manners are pristine, never getting into things he shouldn't be and is crate trained and potty trained. Chewy is a 10/10 good boy! If you have kids, we believe Chewy would make a great family dog too! Chewy has spent time with Kobe, who is 4 years old and was a gentle king around him. He loved playing fetch with Kobe, took treats gently from him when Kobe was "training" him, wasn't bothered by Kobe running around and yelling like toddlers do, and enjoyed playtime outside together. He loved when Kobe kept finding sticks and throwing them, Chewy loves sticks. Even then, Chewy was really good about not taking the sticks away from Kobe and Kobe even told him no a few times too and Chewy listened. Chewy is a big boy and there were a few times where he accidentally knocked Kobe down because of excitement but that will change once he's in a home a settled. Chewy never once chased Kobe when he was running around in the yard and was totally fine with Kobe hanging on him too. Chewy does like to "talk" when he's happy and likes to tell the world about it by showing off his vocals with a big boy bark. He'll also talk when he's trying to get you to play with him or when he wants you to throw his toy. He would make a great family dog and will bring a lot of joy and fun to your kids lives. We are willing to test Chewy McLoving with anything you need us to in order to ensure its a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Let me introduce you to one tall, dark, and handsome boy. Gibbs is his name and he quickly proved he is an attention getter. As soon as he got out of the car everyone one site slowly worked their way over just to say hi to him. He doesn’t know he is a sight to see, he is just happy for the love and free pets. For each person that wanted to greet him he stood close by, often doing the love lean into their legs, needless to say- he doesn’t know a stranger. Estimated to be around 3 years old and weighing in at 96 lbs, we can say he is full grown! Gibbs lineage might include Great Dane, we recognize those legs, and likely some German Shepherd. Naturally, in rescue we can never be 100% certain of age or breed, but if you get his DNA done after you adopt him, please share- we live for that! We can see the love and loyalty of a shepherd, the limbs of a dane, with a goofy playfulness that is very lab-like. Gibbs has been so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his adoption day. This is wonderful not just for the everyday skills he learns and practices but because it gives us a front-row seat to his personality and mannerisms. Gibbs foster home consists of adults, kids age 7-14, a cat, another dog, and a steady stream of family and guest. His foster family shared that he is such a fun-loving dog with an affection for all toys, with rope toys being his #1 favorite! He is half-way to learning fetch, with a rope toy, he will consistently run for the toy but the return is less consistent but we have no doubt he can master it with your help. He isn’t all play though, second to his playful side, his foster describes him as a big ol’ teddy bear, sharing stories of his affectionate and cuddly side. When cuddling it is a toss up whether he is the big spoon or the little, he is versatile and you can decide. Major bonus, he is house and crate trained! Hardy’s dream home would be somewhere with room to stretch his legs and bounce around, he isn’t much of the running type but he does love to get his steps in. He enjoys a walk and has great basic leash skills, but easily enjoys getting his daily exercise through play-sessions in the back yard or with a canine companion. We could see him loving suburban family life and being an easy addition to the rhythm of rural life. Gibbs has learned how to use his voice to talk to his people and although he doesn’t use it excessively, it is just a bit too loud for apartment life, though honestly, he doesn’t meet many apartments size restrictions anyway. We spent an afternoon with Gibbs, to get to know him outside of his foster home, as this helps us know what you as an adopter will likely experience initially. Brought over by his foster, Gibbs was friendly from the get-go, greeting everyone who came out to see him, while still wondering what he was doing there and what was next. We introduced him to a few new dogs, both outside the house and inside, he was friendly but never showed us his playful side but we know he has it. Initially, his approach to meeting new dogs is polite but not pushy. He would love the company of a playful dog but one who can enjoy his company relaxing as much as during a round of chase. Inside was when we got to see that he is more than happy to lay down around a new dog without a second thought, this is a dog that is confident in himself but not overpowering. We joked that it was almost like he understood that his size could be intimidating and he knew taking it slow and being “small” was the way to go. Gibbs is going to be a force of love and loyalty in whatever home he is welcomed into and the fact that he will bring just as much fun into the mix is a bonus. It is easy to imagine all the fun your kids or the neighborhood kids will have with him and all the laughs you will get watching it. Gibbs is attentive, smart, welcoming and friendly- a beautiful mix of qualities! This boy is a gorgeous, loyal, loving dog who is undoubtedly going to offer unmatched companionship and a deep bond with his people. He is ready to be your steady sidekick in all of life’s adventures, big and small. If you are in love, do not hesitate to fill our an application, the gorgeous and charming ones like Gibbs do not stay available for long. Questions? Story
Penny is up for adoption! Penny is an adorable 3 month old puppy. Her mama, Grace a mix of Pit/Great Dane/Boxer has passed down her gentle and loving nature to Penny. She has a slight black tip on her tail and white socks on her feet which distinguishes her from her siblings. While we don’t know who dad was, we anticipate Penny and her siblings will grow into medium to large-sized dogs. Born in our care, Penny has been surrounded by love and attention from the very beginning. She’s playful and full of puppy charm, ready to bring joy and laughter to her forever home. Penny is very curious and likes to explore new spaces. She LOVES people, grownups and kids alike. She lives in a foster home with 2 cats and respects their space although she’d really like to play with them! Penny is very sociable and has done very well with other dogs she’s met. She is learning to walk on a leash and knows how to ‘sit’. While very independent, Penny likes snuggling for a nap and longs to be with her humans getting all the attention she can. She sleeps in a crate during the day in her foster home and is 95% potty trained. With frequent potty breaks during the day, she rarely has accidents in the house. She loves being outside running in the yard with kids or fetching sticks. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link.
