Welcome Reesaw to CCPAL Rescue. She is an 18-month-old Great Dane mix dog. She weighs in at 102 pounds. She is good with other dogs and came in with an older Great Dane named Planter. Reesaw does pull on leash but we will be working with that. She is moderately active and would be fine with a moderately active family. She is a good balance between active and couch potato. She is good with people and will bond deeply with her person. Great Danes are typically a little shy and they warm up and bond deeply to their family. She does fit this characteristic. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Someone who has owned an XL dog or a Great Dane would be preferable. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is 180. Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. Meet Rocky❤️ He was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea. At first, he was shown to be active and energetic. However, when we constantly observe him, he always seems to be a little anxiety. Maybe he easily gets scared because of the harsh past. He seems to lack social skills, but he is not aggressive towards people or other animals and also likes to touch people So if he gets enough love, he will become an affection boy! 1. With People: - strangers: He is a little wary of strangers, but he is not aggressive at all. When he calms down after a while, he leans to the person. - familiar people: He shows playful actions and facial expressions, but he approaches people slightly and smells or passes by. 2. With Dogs - Rocky is less social, so he gets nervous when he meets a strange dog. He doesn't get aggressive or excited. He just tries to stay still or avoid. He plays around with his best friend Bloo. But when he gets excited, he actively expresses his affection. 3. With Cats - He stays still without aggression or excitement. In general, he seems to have a lot of anxiety in the new environment. * Outdoor potty only. * He's so strong that he often pulls the leash hard on walks. So he keeps being on training. * No carsickness * He likes to eat, but he is not very gluttonous. He also eats food calmly on the hand of people.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Sienna! She is a 2-year-old, 84lb Great Dane/Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Sienna is a super sweet dog that walks well on leash and has beautiful markings. She is calm, very smart, learns quickly, and has done well with other dogs. Sienna is still gaining a little bit of confidence but overall is down for any adventure. She loves to go on walks with her person and is very attentive to her handler. Sienna would love a home that takes her on daily walks and adventures. She would make a great additional dog in a home or she would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. We don’t know what happened to her ear as half of one is missing and was that way when she came to us, but it adds that much more character to her! She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Hello, Moppet and I met 3 years ago as a foster. Eventually, I adopted; but keeping him/providing a stable home has been a challenge for me. All of his medical and dental needs have been addressed; he’s a healthy boy of about 10 years old. Moppet sleeps a lot and would do well in a household that isn’t too active; but still gives him enthusiastic walks and daily playtime. With professional training, he could be fine with other dogs; I simply don’t have the resources for that. This is a brutally difficult situation for us and I’ll miss him terribly; but it’s important he be given the best home possible. The adoption fee will include his dog bed, food, medication and everything else you need for the first 4-6 weeks. He has some dietary issues, but nothing major. Also, he sleeps with his humans and needs a home with non-smokers. If you smoke, or vape, moppet is not for you. Kids over 7 are ok. This has become time sensitive. For the perfect home, I’m willing to waive the adoption fee.

Welcome Hans to CCPAL foster program. Hans is a 1 year old English Mastiff pure bred dog. She weighs 70 pounds and should weigh up to 100 or so full grown. We do not have papers. We are a rescue and only help find homes for Rescue dogs needing great placements. Hans is good in a crate and good with other dogs. She is around other dogs all her size or bigger. She has all the lovely qualities of the Mastiff. She is loyal and once when the gate was open she stayed inside the yard and warned the owners that some of her group were out of the yard. She is less vocal and has an adorable wrinkly face. She understands Spanish and English commands as she has people around her that know both languages. She has been around lots of people including teens and does great. She got her second vaccination today and will be spayed soon with the CCPAL rescue. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is lower on the shed scale, good in a crate and decent on a leash. She goes potty outside and like all mastiffs she drools when she is ready to eat or you are about to feed her. This breed is naturally a protective dog and would be best with someone that knows and loves this breed. She is a beautiful khaki and black coloration. She has big webbed feet and should be a good swimmer. Right now she is not near water so we don’t know if she likes water to swim. When you get a puppy it is best you have some free time to train and spend time with her. It will make for a better adult dog. She is in Texas now and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 due to her high spay cost and transport will be $200 if we use the transporter. . I am pretty shy when I first meet new people but all I need is a bit of attention to build my confidence and I will shine. I don't live with children but I have been around them and I know to just stay calm and relax. I like dogs in my pack and I will play but I would prefer to chill out and relax. I am what you might call laid-back!When my foster family takes me out for a walk I stick pretty close to them because there are a lot of street dogs and they scare me a bit. It is much better when I walk with my pack. I don't have many toys but give me a nice marrow bone and I will be busy all day! Cats are not my thing, unless they like to be chased then I am all in.Oh did I mention that I love to swim? It is the best thing when we go to the beach and I get to play in the water. I'm in heaven then. The car ride there makes me a bit nervous so I don't look out the window or anything. I just wait until we are at the beach then I am fine.I am pretty good with my basic commands like Sit, Come and of course, come eat! I know I still have lots to learn but I hope my new family will be ready to teach me how to be the best dog I can be.
