Story
Catwoman (and her brother, California Raisin) is just the happiest dog.  She runs up to anyone in the vicinity with her tail wagging and then sits down and stares expectantly, as if you know you're supposed to pick her up.  She doesn't bother her foster mom's 3 bigger dogs and is not afraid of them, but she's mostly focused on her brother at the moment.  They do two things: play, nap, play, nap, play, nap.  Repeat that all day.  They are crated together at night and make it through most nights without needing an outside break.  Mandatory in person transfer date: November 3rd at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. ##2200749##

Story
California Raisin (aka, Mike) and his sister, Catwoman (aka, Nova), are like little ducklings who follow you around everywhere, tail wagging the whole time.  They absolutely love to take naps in your lap and supply a bit of melatonin as you doze, too.  California is a bit more excitable in the best way.  Catwoman is a bit more chill and always the first to decide it's time to nap.  They are very food-motivated and know that if they follow foster mom's orders to 'crate' and 'out' they will get a treat.  California Raisin is learning to relieve himself outside and to wait patiently for his food.  He has far fewer accidents in the house than he used to, although we're not quite 'there' yet.  He's been known to knock a bowl of food right out of your hand because he's so excited (!!!!) to eat but he's learning.  He knows how to sit on command even if he forgets when he gets excited.  They are around 3 bigger dogs all day but mostly play with each other.  The big dogs are teaching them when it's ok to take a toy or sneak some food and when it's not - which are great lessons for little ones to learn! Mandatory in person transfer date: November 23rd at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. ##2200756##

Cleopatra 1963 is a dream puppy! She sleeps through the night in her crate, walks well on a leash, and loves everyone she meets! She's smart, playful and a total cuddle bug. She loves to be close to her foster humans and happily sleeps by our feet for hours at a time during the day. She has lived with dogs and finds cats interesting to watch but doesn't get too close. She loves kids and is gentle for a puppy. She's very curious and loves walking and napping. She's up for whatever you want! She is making great progress on potty training, and knows sit and come. She is the sweetest girl with a wonderful affectionate personality and would make a great addition to any family. Request a meet and greet today! ##2200754##

Story
This sweet dog is an owner surrender. The current family could not afford to keep him and found it difficult to feed him. We naturally offered to help but they were also having to move which new home would not allow dogs. Especially a big one! Opie is an easy dog, very sweet . He is a mix of lab and Dane. He is happy in nature and will be a great dog for any family. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. Story
We are so excited to be a part of changing the future for this handsome male Great Dane called Neville.  Recently we were asked to help this one year old fawn colored boy to find a home and to do all the vetting from the ground up. You see, Neville was orphaned at birth when his momma died and he was hand- raised and fed by a woman who dearly loved him and still does. Eventually, she realized she was overwhelmed due to his size and the future of caring for him (she was a senior lady)  and sadly she surrendered him to Critter Cavalry Rescue.   Soon our foster mom who has two Great Danes herself, quickly figured out that Neville had only been around his Great Dane dad and siblings all his life and it was a sight to behold when he met the variety of dogs at this new foster home.  Neville tucked his tail and ran with sheer fright! He has since embraced all the foster dogs, cats, horses, donkeys and pigs as his friends. This special boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. And if you know the Dane breed traits, he is all of those and more.  He loves to run and play with all his new dog friends and we think he believes he has died and gone to dog heaven with all these friends to play with. Eager to please, Neville is the happiest when he puts his huge head in your lap to absorb all the love from his foster mom.  He loves to be petted and told how good a boy he really is. He is still a wee bit timid of new things and he will seek out a kind human to lean on for reassurance that all is well.   He is not in the house 24/7, but close to being housebroken all the same.  He has been neutered and we talked his stomach for the prevention of stomach flipping later in life.  This common malady effects the large breed dogs in high numbers and the reality of it happening is huge.  It is costly and often how large dogs end up in the ER at the expense of well over $5000 with no guarantee that the emergency surgery will save the dog.   We try to give this all-important insurance by tacking the stomach to help prevent any future flipping of the stomach.  We know that Neville will be the love of some family’s life if he is chosen.  We will require a fenced yard and someone that does not leave him 8-9 hours daily for work.  Shorter work hours away are fine, but he will be lonely if left crated for 8-9 hours. If you are interested in this giant lovebug please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   He is worth every penny donated to adopt him.  You will see that instantly. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 14, 2024, 10:09 pm

Story
Hi there! I’m Raid! I’m a 2-year-old handsome fella, and I’m a Great Dane and German Shepherd mix. Yep, I’m big — like, extra-large big — at a solid 109 pounds! But don’t let my size fool you. I’m a big ol’ softie at heart, with a lot of love to give. I’ve got a gorgeous gray/black merle coat that turns heads wherever I go. I’m kind of a showstopper, if you ask me! I ended up here because my previous owner had to make some tough decisions due to life changes, and unfortunately, that meant I needed a new home. I’m originally from South Carolina, where I spent my first couple of years getting the hang of life. I’m all caught up on my health stuff — I’m heartworm negative, I’m already neutered, and I’ve had my recent rabiesvaccination. I’m still a young pup, so I’ve got plenty of energy to enjoy walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions.I might be big, but I’ve got a sweet and gentle demeanor that makes me the perfect companion for a family who can handle my size (and my big heart). I’m also a big goofball, and I absolutely love playing with other dogs—male or female. I’m the life of the playgroup, and I’ll happily join in on any game. I don’t quite realize just how big I am, though. I think I’m 20 pounds! So when I’m playing with other dogs or toys, I can get a little goofy and clumsy (but that’s just part of my charm!). Some of the volunteers who walk me tell me I’m their favorite because I’m just so goofy. I’m a sweet boy who loves people, including kids, and I get along great with everyone I meet. I’m definitely a people dog and just want to be with you, whether it’s playing, walking, or just hanging out. Now when it comes to cats....things don't always go so well. I think they’re just like the other dogs, so I try to play with them, but they don’t seem to like it much (oops!). No aggressive tendencies, though—I just want to play! I’m looking for a home where I can stretch my long legs, get lots of attention, and become a part of a new family who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them. So, if you’re looking for a loving, goofy, and good-natured buddy who’s always ready to stand by your side, then I’m your guy. I promise I’ll fill your life with joy, and you’ll get lots of sloppy, big-dog hugs. Come meet me — I’m waiting for my forever home! ##2230413##
