Story
Champ is a big sweetheart. He has been with HOT-PAWS since 2021. He was part of our No Dog Left Behind program as he arrived Heartworm positive, but was negative at last test. His last Pro-Heart 12 was in August 2024. This boy currently is housed with a female dog and they get along well. He seems good with most other dogs. He has been around older kids and would probably enjoy smaller ones, but may knock smaller ones over. He is not good with cats. Champ loves to play and walks well on a leash. He crates okay, but is not fond of being cooped up. He prefers a bit of running room if possible. and loves attention from his person. Champ requires a secure fence, and can be prone to digging at times, mainly to make a nest for himself to lay in and not to escape.

Story
Location: Rowlett, TX DOB: 10/24/2023 (estimate) Meet Nyx — the tall, elegant shadow you never knew you needed. Nyx has mastered the art of gentle companionship. She moves through the house with a calm confidence, always checking in, always nearby, always ready to lean her giant self into you for a moment of affection. If you’ve ever wanted a living weighted blanket with long legs, Nyx is your girl. Nyx has settled beautifully into her foster pack and is quickly becoming one of the crew. She’s fantastic with other dogs and great with kids. She hasn’t met any cats yet, but she’s completely unbothered by chickens (she thinks they are friends to play with) — so farm friends, she’s already ahead of the game. This lovely lady is crate trained, cruising through potty training like a champ, and rides in the car as if she’s been doing road trips her whole life. She does well on leash, though her foster home doesn’t do structured walks, so she may need a little tuning-up once she’s out exploring the world with you. Toys are still a bit of a mystery to her —but she’s starting to figure out how fun they are! If your home is missing a gentle giant who brings warmth, sweetness, and a very impressive amount of drool, Nyx is ready to stroll right into your heart (and probably lean on your hip while she’s at it). If you’re not ready to adopt, please consider fostering. We always need fosters. Fill out the same form if interested. Thanks! https://forms.gle/G2dJx2NV4JXZcZ9F6

He’s the perfect companion and a sweet boy. Akino has a past history of neglect. He needs a foster, preferably a foster to adopt. Currently, with his temporary foster family, the resident dogs are not fond of him so he needs to be in a safe, stable environment. The perfect home for Akino: Calm household Safe space A loving environment Room to run and play Akino is: Good with most dogs. Good with people, not sure about children (has not been exposed). Working on house training and basic commands. Cat selective. Akino needs a foster ASAP and it would be great if it were a Foster to Adopt.
