Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 5/17/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Duke to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet our HANDSOME Gentle Giant Duke 💙 He is a purebred 11 month old Great Dane waiting to find a home all his own, and this is one boy you do not want to miss out on calling yours! He currently weighs 108 lbs. Yes, he is at a very healthy weight for his age. He is tall, and lean ❤️ He is neutered, microchipped, current on all of his 1 year vaccines, had a wonderful overall physical exam with our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a family 😊 He is the perfect boy, and loves absolutely every single person he meets! He is your total heart throb of a giant, and will make even the most seemingly complete home even more complete 💕 He is Velcro and will follow you around just about anywhere, unless he is outback playing and not ready to come inside 😂 He is a big puppy at heart and while he isn't high energy whatsoever, he sure does love to goof around and enjoy life in every moment that he can ❤️❤️❤️❤️ He has phenomenal house manners, and while his sniffer leads to high grounds we just make sure everything is put away so it doesn't get him into trouble 😆 He LOVES food, and if he can smell it he will investigate it and possibly sneak a taste if you aren't looking so make sure you are always looking 😅 He listens well, and is very mindful of what you ask of him. He is attentive to his humans and loves being the center of your world when time permits. He is patient, loving, and KIND. He loves hugs, and while we are teaching him he is much to tall to hug us standing up he can still snuggle with us on the sofa or have his head in our laps whenever he would like to. He is learning to sit, stay, and come. (Treats help!) He loves walks! He is very good on leash, and will only get better in time. He loves exploring the neighborhood, and meeting new friends along the way whether human or animal ❤️ He is amazing on road trips around town, and while he is still figuring how to get in our truck without assistance, he doesn't mind the extra help knowing he gets to hang with his humans outside of the home. He is crate trained, and has no issues sleeping in a crate if needed. He does however sleep on a dog bed in our room aside our bed at night that he does perfect with. He is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom every couple hours if he needs to. We have a very good schedule with him, and haven't had any accidents inbetween that schedule so we reccomend for it to be kept moving forward ❤️ He is not a barker, but will alert you of unfamiliar noises if they catch his attention enough to do so as he isn't much of a protector but sure does have a deep bark to make someone think he is if needed 😂 He is the sweeet boy, and an instant friend to anyone that meets him 💙 His owner unfortunately rented. He had to move into an apartment from the home he was renting and the space was just to small to bring Duke with him. He couldn't afford another home rental, and couldn't stay where he was anymore either so it was very hard for him not having any real choices that allowed him to keep the big guy so he reached out to us here to take him in and find him the best home and family! His adoption fee is in our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/_duke It covers all vet costs. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and has a health certificate from our vet that will be going home with him. His adoption fee also covers the care involved in the time he has been with us, and the training we have personally done with him 💙

Story
Meet BALOO! Baloo is a pretty big guy with an even bigger heart full of a ton of love to smoother his furever family in! His smile truly lights up a room— when he walks in everyone else starts smiling too! Watch Baloo here- https://youtu.be/FIyXdITYf1U?si=Sh7ARHC2eOX6awCJ Baloo loves a tight knit circle. As long as he’s got his people he will be just fine! We can see him with other calm doggies that match his energy well or being your one and only. But don’t get it twisted, he can get down to play if given the chance! Baloo is also bilingual! He knows English and Spanish! He is so smart, we are just so impressed with him. No apartment living for this guy, only because of his big size! Baloo was very tolerant of our kitty cat here at the rescue, Biggie, so we can see him living with a cat that enjoys the presence of doggy companions or one that doesn’t mind them— at least! Baloo would be great for older kiddos. Yes, because of his size— did we mention he’s a Great Dane? Baloo has requested a family who will love everything that he has to offer. He is just a chill guy that wants love just like we all do! Apply to be Baloo’s family right here! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/680fd9d93dd024903b0a384b Questions? Ask kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is _____ and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time. https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? We have moved to a smaller home with less property and no fenced yard. She really needs more space and a family that can spend more time with her. We have other small animals and she does well with them.
