Story
Meet Whiskey, a 16 m/o pure breed Great Dane. He is a goofy & spunky young boy that just wants all your attention! This loveable giant is all bark and no bite, he is afraid of his own shadow but will try and crawl onto your lap to cuddle. Our main problem is Whiskey is too friendly with cats. Not realizing his size, he likes to play rough with our two cats that do not appreciate his energetic manners. Whiskey does have a sister that is the alpha dog of the house so another dog for him to follow would be preferable. Whiskey is great with kids, ours are 8 y/o + but he has knocked over small children before so we recommend older kids who understand that he is not a horse to ride. Previous large breed experience & a fenced-in back yard is required, Great Danes are not for the faint of heart! It takes a special person to understand their needs. We have had him since he was a puppy and he is well-trained! XXL crate included and rehoming fee is negotiable, we just want the best for him!

He is a very sweet and playful pup. He is protective/guarding when initially meeting strangers but settles in quickly. He is a bit jumpy and will require ongoing training through his puppy years. Guinness can at times resource guard so will need his new family to be familiar with this trait and know how to handle it when it comes up. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:Privacy Fence No young/small children Experienced Handler Ongoing Training and Socialization Guinness is a very loving, sweet guy once he gets to know you and trust you. He has some resource guarding issues so an experienced handler is what this guy is looking for. Molly is still recovery from her surgery to repair her cherry-eye, so she will need to keep her cone on for another week or so. Molly has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the $155 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

As a growing puppy, she’s full of energy and will need plenty of space, love, and activities to help her thrive and grow into her big, adorable paws. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves? If you’re ready for a loyal, loving companion, come meet Dizzy today! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
