Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Raven! Just take one look at this beautiful girl and she will steal your heart! Raven spent a short time in the DASH prison training program working on basic training before being placed in her current foster home. Her handler said that she is such a lovable dog. Her favorite game is tug of war with her toys. She would do best in a home with a yard and a fence due to her size and since she loves to run and play. She's still a puppy, so her new family will need to continue to work with her on her puppy training. Raven has not been tested with cats or children. Put in your application to meet her today! Story
RCHS does not conduct DNA tests on dogs who enter our facility therefore we are unable to guarantee breed or breed mix. Information provided by shelter staff, volunteers, and veterinarians is used to give a best estimate as to a dog’s breed make up. We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

Story
Beau is about 3 year old fixed male. We were told he is a mix of a great Dane and a black lab. He weighs about 72lbs. Beau is more lab-sized than dane-sized. Beau spent about the 1st year of his life at the humane society. He wasn't very socialized. We were told he was rescued twice, once returned for not getting along with cats and once he was returned after getting attacked by an existing dog. He is nervous around other dogs because he is afraid of being attacked again. He is also nervous of people at first. Once he figures out you aren't going to hurt him, he is your best friend. He loves being around people once he warms up and loves having his chest rubbed. He loves being outside, but is prey driven and will chase squirrels and rabbits. He is a very good dog, but we need to find him a new home. Our existing dog is protective, and has attacked Beau twice. The second time nearly killed Beau. Can you help Beau out?

Story
We had 2 Great Danes Mac & Louie we rescued in 2016 that were brothers one died due to hip problems so we bought Cain, he was very expensive but we didn't want to leave Mac alone, then Mac died same problem. So we got 2 golden retrievers for Cain to play with, both males, He gets along with them, they play but at times he gets to rough with them, which I feel he needs a bunch of one on one attention. I am having health problems and cannot care for all of them, when I go to play with them they fight over me and about knock me down. I am not able to care for a bigger dog anymore. They stay in a fenced in yard and come in during the time we are home in the evening if weather is bad. he is fine staying out while you are not home but needs a warm environment at night. We have cats he does fine and grandkids. (although he likes to jump) He must have a fenced in yard and a warm environment at night, or I will not let him go.

Story
Hi, my name is Pearl! I'm a 5 month old puppy. I was abandoned and found in an alley in Bexley.  I’ve learned to be scrappy, no one’s going to take advantage of me! I’ll tell you what I like and don’t like, so if meek and mild is what you’re looking for, I may not be the girl for you. I am strong willed, but eager to learn. I am not a big snuggler and would much rather spend my time playing! I need a yard and a dog friend to play with or you better be ready to play, play, play!!!  I sleep 8 hours in my crate and will go in my crate when you leave. I am potty trained. I’m very food motivated and I'm learning things quickly.  As rough as I like to play, I take my treats very gently!! Though I’d love to share my life, I do not like to share my food. I like to eat separately. Food is my prized possession! I’m vocal about telling you what I like and don’t like, so apartment living is not for me. If you have older kids and teens who’d play, that would be ideal.  I think toddlers are cool to jump on and be mouthy with, so giving me one of my own might be problematic. If you’re looking for a fun loving girl, who knows what she wants, then I am the girl for you! Let’s meet!! My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay, boosters and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives up to the point of adoption. ##2197938##
