Well here we have our fabulous girl Phoenix who was on the loose for some time and finally was caught. We are now looking for a breed experienced person with Danes. she can be weary of new people but once she is out and meets you, she is a sweet girl. Phoenix knows basic commands (sit, paw, down, and double up a Dane thing). she walks nice on leash and a gentle giant when it comes to treats. She can be selective with others, but we did dog test her and she did good, so as always, a meet and greet is required.

She's a big, beautiful and GROWING gal! She is working on housebreaking and crate training in her foster home and will need an adopter who is patient, consistent and willing to continue to work on these things. Gremlin is being fostered in NC. Howdy, I'm Gremlin, a 6 month old Great Dane, but don't worry, you CAN get me wet and I won't turn into Spike! I actually LOVE playing in water. My foster Mommy says I am a gentle giant, but I am still a baby and very playful. I need to learn my commands by touch because I cannot see or hear. And, well, I can be a little slower and I need repetitiveness with my training so I can be a very good boy. My foster Mommy is working with me on my manners, but I can be a bit slow because I have a great nose for food wherever it is heehee. It takes me a little time to navigate a new area, but I will get it, just be patient with me. Right now, I have a Cane Corso foster sister to play with and I love playing tug and wrestle with her. I am already potty and crate trained! When I wake in the morning, I will bark to let you know I has to go outside to do my business. I also walk well on a leash. The bestest thing I really love is to have my ears rubbed and to cuddle with humans. I don't know why they feel squished, after all, I'm the same size as a chihuahua aren't I LOL I just want my very own family to love me and guide me along my journey in this life. And, of course, to cuddle with furever. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Cleo is a 1+ year old Dane mix and up to date on her shots. She has had little exposure to kids but in those experiences shes been very sweet and gentle. She is super friendly with people but still jumps and does not know how big she really is. She has gotten along with the few dogs she has been around but probably would do best with bigger dogs. As for cats, she is a typical dog who loves chasing them around! She is crate trained and somewhat house broken (still has few accidents) and would do best having access to a yard. Shes used to going on walks and still needs some guidance when it comes to pulling. Shes super sweet and knows when you need a hug. She loves fruits and veggies, squeaky toys, and cuddles.

Scratch is a 1 year old neutered male great dane/terrier mix who weighs 85 lbs. Scratch is looking for a new home after his person was no longer able to keep him due to landlord issues. This guy has been nothing but sweet, but is clearly confused about why he isn't in his home anymore. He will need a family willing to help boost his confidence as he wasn't socialized much in his previous home. He seems to do well with other dogs and previously lived with a small dog without issue. Scratch has SO much potential and has learned so much already! He loves to be with his people and playing with toys. Fetch is his favorite game! He's done well on walks and hasn't been reactive to those he crosses paths with. He is shy with new people at first, but warms up when he's given a chance to feel safe. Scratch loves bananas and cheese, but hates peanut butter. While he loves to play in true puppy fashion, he's also an expert snuggler. Scratch has always known love from his family and cannot wait to land in another home full of kindness and people who love him. Are you looking for a true Southern belle Dane? If so, then Mya is your belle of the ball! Mya is a beautiful five-year-old fawn Dane (mixed in with a little we-don’t-know what) who doesn’t simply walk, she sashays her hips from side-to-side as she sidles up to you for a lean-in rub. Like a true belle, Mya is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go out by going to the back door. She loves a cuddle and, when she is completely relaxed, will roll on her back and put all four of her pretty paws in the air for a full-on belly rub. The couch and her dog bed are her places to get extra love. Mya was overweight when she came to her foster family- but she is slowly slimming down. Mya does best with a sensitive skin and stomach dog food (easy to buy online) and has absolutely no food aggression. Mya LOVES her treats (very food motivated) and has been known to counter surf (which her foster family is working on with her) when her foster family is out of the house. She does well at home alone but, true to Dane style, she prefers to be around her people. Like a Southern belle, Mya LOVES to be in the garden and stares intently at a tree for the longest time- in hopes of chasing a squirrel that dares to climb down or waiting for we don’t know what! Mya is a great companion in the car and loves to go for rides. She is on medication (Pruin) for mild leakage- but the vet feels that as she loses weight it will be a non-issue. Mya is very protective over her family members and we are working with her on this. Mya will sashay her way into your heart and home in no time!
