Well here we have our fabulous girl Phoenix who was on the loose for some time and finally was caught. We are now looking for a breed experienced person with Danes. she can be weary of new people but once she is out and meets you, she is a sweet girl. Phoenix knows basic commands (sit, paw, down, and double up a Dane thing). she walks nice on leash and a gentle giant when it comes to treats. She can be selective with others, but we did dog test her and she did good, so as always, a meet and greet is required.

Gremlin is being fostered in NC. Howdy, I'm Gremlin, a 6 month old Great Dane, but don't worry, you CAN get me wet and I won't turn into Spike! I actually LOVE playing in water. My foster Mommy says I am a gentle giant, but I am still a baby and very playful. I need to learn my commands by touch because I cannot see or hear. And, well, I can be a little slower and I need repetitiveness with my training so I can be a very good boy. My foster Mommy is working with me on my manners, but I can be a bit slow because I have a great nose for food wherever it is heehee. It takes me a little time to navigate a new area, but I will get it, just be patient with me. Right now, I have a Cane Corso foster sister to play with and I love playing tug and wrestle with her. I am already potty and crate trained! When I wake in the morning, I will bark to let you know I has to go outside to do my business. I also walk well on a leash. The bestest thing I really love is to have my ears rubbed and to cuddle with humans. I don't know why they feel squished, after all, I'm the same size as a chihuahua aren't I LOL I just want my very own family to love me and guide me along my journey in this life. And, of course, to cuddle with furever. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Cleo is a 1+ year old Dane mix and up to date on her shots. She has had little exposure to kids but in those experiences shes been very sweet and gentle. She is super friendly with people but still jumps and does not know how big she really is. She has gotten along with the few dogs she has been around but probably would do best with bigger dogs. As for cats, she is a typical dog who loves chasing them around! She is crate trained and somewhat house broken (still has few accidents) and would do best having access to a yard. Shes used to going on walks and still needs some guidance when it comes to pulling. Shes super sweet and knows when you need a hug. She loves fruits and veggies, squeaky toys, and cuddles.

Scratch is a 1 year old neutered male great dane/terrier mix who weighs 85 lbs. Scratch is looking for a new home after his person was no longer able to keep him due to landlord issues. This guy has been nothing but sweet, but is clearly confused about why he isn't in his home anymore. He will need a family willing to help boost his confidence as he wasn't socialized much in his previous home. He seems to do well with other dogs and previously lived with a small dog without issue. Scratch has SO much potential and has learned so much already! He loves to be with his people and playing with toys. Fetch is his favorite game! He's done well on walks and hasn't been reactive to those he crosses paths with. He is shy with new people at first, but warms up when he's given a chance to feel safe. Scratch loves bananas and cheese, but hates peanut butter. While he loves to play in true puppy fashion, he's also an expert snuggler. Scratch has always known love from his family and cannot wait to land in another home full of kindness and people who love him. This sweet dog is an owner surrender. The current family could not afford to keep him and found it difficult to feed him. We naturally offered to help but they were also having to move which new home would not allow dogs. Especially a big one! Opie is an easy dog, very sweet . He is a mix of lab and Dane. He is happy in nature and will be a great dog for any family. RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
