Story
Jasper, the friendly pup, the friendliest pup you know! That’s this guy! Meet Jasper, a true gentle giant and the biggest lovebug around. Jasper is a 1-year-old Great Dane/Labrador Retriever who was surrendered by his owner. It breaks our hearts to know that such a sweet boy was given up on after only a year of life. He’s overflowing with love and is so hopeful that his next home is his forever home.
Jasper is a big guy of 65 pounds, and while he can’t promise that he won’t be a bed hog, he CAN promise that there will be no better snuggles than his. When he’s not embracing his time by your side, Jasper loves to prance around on his long legs. He’s such a sweet companion to have around whether you’re working from home, going for a walk, having friends over, or spending a night indoors on the couch. He truly just likes to be loved on and give love in return. He also really enjoys playing fetch, so keep a few tennis balls and toys around for him.
Jasper would love a family of any size—one person or many, other dogs, kids—he’d just be so happy to have somewhere he can call home again. We know this sweet boy is destined to spend a lifetime of happiness when the right family comes along to rescue him. For now, he will dream sweet dreams of his happy ever after.
Jasper is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
