Story
Meet Titan! He is a 12 month old great mix who was adopted from us when he was three month old and was returned to us last month due to his size. He is a little smaller then a full size Great Dane, but he is a mix. He is super playful and is leash trained, house trained and has some basic training skill. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and is dewormed. He has been tossed around and is hoping to find a home and stay forever! He is so very sweet and loves to give kisses! He hopes you apply!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application This beautiful girl is about 2.5 years old.  She is a little timid but also very loving.  She seems great with other dogs, gentle with people, about 125 lbs.  She was rescued from the shelter and given up because she could no longer be cared for. She is already spayed and we are working on getting her cherry eyes repaired.  She likes outside and loves just laying in a grass or on a comfy dog bed.  She seems to bond to people quickly. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:44 pm

Very affectionate and very active.  May not be great with small children and they jump alot and still need some training.  Beautiful girls, just started gaining some weight.  They deserve a beautiful home! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Rudy is a bouncy, exuberant boy with a loving soul with lots of affection to give! An experienced adopter and a family with teens and up would be a great match for Rudy given his size and goofball play style. Rudy is loyal, eager to please and affectionate -would love to be your only pet so he can have all your attention to himself! HISTORY: Rudy grew up with a young family and was surrendered due to small children/new babies arriving and the family not having time for this sensitive companion. His current home was intended to be a “foster fail” one while continuing to fosters dogs but despite best efforts to socialize with other dogs, Rudy does not like sharing his mom with new foster dogs. PERSONALITY: Rudy is a handsome, affectionate Great Dane who is energetic & playful yet wants to be your lap dog at the same time -- a true velcro dog! When excited, this 155# puppy bounces around with joy. Rudy will need time to warm up to unfamiliar faces, but once he does he is eager to call you a new friend. Relative to the family’s four legged family members, Rudy bonded with foster brother schnoodle from the beginning. Due to his reticence sharing his humans’ attention, will thrive in a home where he’s the only pet. Rudy is motivated to be with his family, responds to affection and treats. His bouncy personality is sure to endear himself into your heart. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Loves to go for daily walks, chasing his ball on a rope, running zoomies in his fenced backyard and adores snuggling on the sofa with his head on your lap. He wants to play with his foster brother but a 15yo 10# schnoodle is no playmate, so Rudy will play catch with himself using his stuffed toys. Rudy loves his stuffed ‘woobies,’ snuggling against his ‘person’ and has a slow motion lean-in nose touches down to an art form. MEDICAL ISSUES: Rudy (4yo) was neutered and had gastropexy (stomach tacked) when he arrived at his current home. This dignified Great Dane has a sensitive stomach (managed well with probiotics) and sensitive skin (dandruff is managed well with daily fish oil and monthly baths). WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Rudy loves to turn heads on his daily walk so if you’re looking for someone to take walks with, Rudy’s your boy. If walks aren’t possible, a home with a fenced backyard to stretch his long legs would be a dream come true for this playful giant. Rudy is truly a velcro giant and enjoys calm, cozy nights at home snuggling- as close to your lap as possible :). ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Handsome Rudy has leash manners, enjoys his crate for meals (and naps), has excellent recall and knows commands sit (working on stay), no, off and lay down. He likes to learn new tricks when he’s rewarded with a tasty treat. He’d love to work on his socialization to become the best pet he can be! Rudy is a loyal & lovable gentle giant- if you think you have the perfect family home for Rudy, please contact us -- we’d love to find out more about you!! Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Paula is a snuggle bug of a great dane that needs a home where she can lay on the couch and watch movies and go on long walks/play with her people. She is being fostered in York PA. HISTORY: Unknown PERSONALITY: Paula is loving once she is comfortable round you but it takes some time and trust building to get there. She matches your energy, if you are having a lazy day, Paula too, is having a lazy day. If you are energetic and going for a run, Paula too, wants to go for a run. She really just loves being around people and doing whatever you are doing. She is a lazy dog at heart and loves napping on couches, beds, etc. She is very skittish and easily spooked by noises and sounds, she often scares herself with her tail when she hits things like trash cans, railings, etc.. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Running at the fairgrounds with other dogs who will chase me and snuggling on the couch or bed with my people. MEDICAL ISSUES: Spayed, de-wormed and treated, caught up on all vaccinations. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Paula needs a very patient owner who will love her and take the time to build trust. She is not warm and fuzzy to new people but after a few days will she will get there, unfortunately, it may be due to her background. Another dog would be great for her because she loves to play but she could also thrive in a home where she is the only dog. She may need a quieter home because loud noises and sounds spook her very easy and she is already extremely skittish (even after she gets comfortable). She needs a home where if there are kids they understand that needs to be met on her terms and slowly. She most likely will growl because she is uncomfortable not because she has intention to harm. She is hesitant towards everyone and will pick one person to be her person and will slowly warm up to everyone else. She would most likely be ideal for young or middle aged owner who can handle her on a leash in case she sees a squirrel because she will pull. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Paula has good recall but when she sees something of interest (like a squirrel) it is hard to refocus her if she is off leash she will run and chase it. She also took some time to go up and down the stairs. It may take weeks of coaxing and lots of treats but with time she will get there, but beware once she finds the bedrooms your bed is now her bed. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Lovable, long-eared Wade Wilson! HISTORY: Wade was surrendered to a shelter with his brother Logan (apparently his previous dad was a superhero fan and named them after Deadpool and Wolverine!) This 6-month old Great Dane cutie won’t quiz you on comic books and movies though – he just wants to know if you’re ready to welcome him to your family! PERSONALITY: Fun-loving, affectionate pup with long ears and even longer legs is looking for a home where he can grow into his big feet! If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who also loves to play, Wade’s your guy! He’s smart puppy and is a good listener! Among the words he understands: “sit”, “no”, and his favorite – “want a treat?!” FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Like his namesake Deadpool, Wade Wilson is just out to have fun! His love for playing with stuffed dog toys is second only to his love of food! He’s very food motivated and sits quickly for treats without being asked when he thinks there’s a chance to get one! He’s very affectionate and eager to please. He’s happy to give you a kiss or let you give him a hug. He’s got a beautiful, shiny coat and appreciates hearing how handsome he is while you pet him and stroke his loppy ears. He loves being outside, particularly on sunny days, and when he’s inside, you can find him either playing by himself or with his people, or most likely napping on a dog bed. He’s a quiet boy – not much of a barker (unless you’re a hair dryer or a Roomba!). He’s still a baby, but growing up fast and making great progress on his housebreaking. MEDICAL ISSUES: None. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: If you’re looking for a buddy to love on, play with and snuggle, then Wade Wilson is your guy! He would be happy with a family who likes to be affectionate and share their lives with their doggy companion. He would love if his family has a yard and/or likes to go on walks. He won’t mind whether or not you have other dogs. **Puppy Adoption Policy: To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Adopters will be required to enroll the puppy into training and provide proof to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue within 6 months of adopting.  Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized before 12 - 18 months of age. If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed. If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  Important notes before applying. Adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina.
