Story
Arlo is coming along with his training. He is much more responsive to his trainers since he first came to rescue and has been making steady progress with his commands and focus. Arlo needed a total reset and it's been a slow process to get him where he needs to be. He recently had a full blood panel of bloodwork and testing and all was within normal range. He hasn't been on any medication for anxiety for months now. The trainers want to be 100% sure that Arlo is ready to move on to a forever family and home and will continue to work with him until that happens. When he is ready, we will want his potential adopters to work with him under the direction of the trainers before taking him home. We are fairly confident Arlo will get there, we are not rushing anything and want him to be fully ready when the time comes for him to move on. Huge thanks to the trainers at Hanlon's K9 for all of the work they are putting into Arlo. He is a beautiful boy and learning how to be a well behaved companion.

Story
Red Collar (Zero) is part of a litter of pups born on Halloween who will be ready for adoption after 8 weeks of age. Mama is a Great Dane but we don't know who the daddy is so the pups are at least half Great Dane. Zero loves to play!!! He also loves a good game of "I am providing protection for the family!" Zero loves to play growl, and bark, and pounce, and tug, and he is ALL boy!!! He loves his puppy toys, and of course his foster mom's slippers. He got one off her foot and was going to town on it. He definitely has personality, but he also likes to nap. Zero loves to entertain himself, and he seems to like to explore. When the foster mom's Dane comes to say hello, Zero is the first to say hello! He probably knows that Dane is always on the ready for some action too, and while he's too little to play with him, he's dreaming of things for when he is bigger! Mama is a great Dane but we don't know who the daddy is so the puppies are at least half Great Dane. Harley is just darling. She is a dainty little puppy, that is just happy to do whatever in the moment. She loves to eat, and loves to play with her little puppy toys. She loves to cuddle and be stroked. She hangs out on her foster mom's lap and watches TV, very content. She loves to hang out with "Pinky", as if she thinks "us girls need to stay together! ". Story
Cooper is a 2 year old black Great Dane with natural ears who needs a foster or adoptive home. He is being given up by his family because he doesn't do well with a new baby in the home. Cooper is a big boy, sweet and loving with his owners and visiting adults. He loves to play with his toys and knows the commands: sit, down, leave it and come. He is crate trained and good in the car, he loves car rides. He will also respect a baby gate. Cooper does not go on the furniture. Cooper is anxious around other dogs and needs work on the leash when out and sees another dog. He will do best as an only pet or will need very slow integration with another large and calm canine in the house. He is good with older children. Cooper would love a fenced yard to exercise and get out his energy. He is neutered and gastropexied. Please consider giving Cooper a loving home. Dogs no Children 12+ Cats no small animals

Story
Smalls is a beautiful big male merlequin with natural ears who came to us from a shelter where he had been picked up as a stray. Smalls became sick with an upper respiratory infection and was not eating enough. He also was not adapting well to the shelter environment. Fortunately the shelter was willing to let us take him to nurse him back to good health and find him a good loving home. Smalls weighed in at 109 lbs when he came into MAGDRL. He was coughing with copious amounts of green mucusy nasal drainage. He needed to see a vet for evaluation and antibiotics, fluids and other support medication. His foster home is working diligently to get him well. His medical care has been costly so therefore he is a Dane in Need. He is on medical hold until he is well enough to be placed in a forever home. Please consider donating towards his care. He is such a sweet boy and deserves all of the care we can give him, we want Smalls to feel well again. Smalls came to MAGDRL in February of 2025

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER: Rudy is a bouncy, exuberant boy with a loving soul with lots of affection to give! An experienced adopter and a family with teens and up would be a great match for Rudy given his size and goofball play style. Rudy is loyal, eager to please and affectionate -would love to be your only pet so he can have all your attention to himself! HISTORY: Rudy grew up with a young family and was surrendered due to small children/new babies arriving and the family not having time for this sensitive companion. His current home was intended to be a “foster fail” one while continuing to fosters dogs but despite best efforts to socialize with other dogs, Rudy does not like sharing his mom with new foster dogs. PERSONALITY: Rudy is a handsome, affectionate Great Dane who is energetic & playful yet wants to be your lap dog at the same time -- a true velcro dog! When excited, this 155# puppy bounces around with joy. Rudy will need time to warm up to unfamiliar faces, but once he does he is eager to call you a new friend. Relative to the family’s four legged family members, Rudy bonded with foster brother schnoodle from the beginning. Due to his reticence sharing his humans’ attention, will thrive in a home where he’s the only pet. Rudy is motivated to be with his family, responds to affection and treats. His bouncy personality is sure to endear himself into your heart. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES: Loves to go for daily walks, chasing his ball on a rope, running zoomies in his fenced backyard and adores snuggling on the sofa with his head on your lap. He wants to play with his foster brother but a 15yo 10# schnoodle is no playmate, so Rudy will play catch with himself using his stuffed toys. Rudy loves his stuffed ‘woobies,’ snuggling against his ‘person’ and has a slow motion lean-in nose touches down to an art form. MEDICAL ISSUES: Rudy (4yo) was neutered and had gastropexy (stomach tacked) when he arrived at his current home. This dignified Great Dane has a sensitive stomach (managed well with probiotics) and sensitive skin (dandruff is managed well with daily fish oil and monthly baths). WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME: Rudy loves to turn heads on his daily walk so if you’re looking for someone to take walks with, Rudy’s your boy. If walks aren’t possible, a home with a fenced backyard to stretch his long legs would be a dream come true for this playful giant. Rudy is truly a velcro giant and enjoys calm, cozy nights at home snuggling- as close to your lap as possible :). ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Handsome Rudy has leash manners, enjoys his crate for meals (and naps), has excellent recall and knows commands sit (working on stay), no, off and lay down. He likes to learn new tricks when he’s rewarded with a tasty treat. He’d love to work on his socialization to become the best pet he can be! Rudy is a loyal & lovable gentle giant- if you think you have the perfect family home for Rudy, please contact us -- we’d love to find out more about you!!
