Story
Hi- I’m Bailey, and I am a BIG beautiful baby!  I have the sweetest eyes, beautiful soft ears, and extra long legs.  Here are some things you should know about me: Breed mix – Best guess is Great Dane, Hound, Pointer and/or possibly Great Pyrenees- a big mix! Age – about 6 months – date of birth 5/9/24 Weight – last official weight was 45 lbs at the beginning of October.  I am a skinny, lanky girl right now, but once I fill out, I am going to be a large to extra-large sized dog when full-grown. Activity level – medium –  I do have bursts of goofy, clumsy energy that make my foster family laugh.  I love to wrestle with the other dogs in my home, but I also like to snuggle with my humans, or lounge around on a comfy bed or couch. Things I like to do- I am a pretty chill girl during the day and hang out on my bed while my mom works.  I am submissive with other dogs, but once I am comfortable I love to play with them.  I like to sniff around in the back yard, and I like chewing on bones and sticks.  I love food, and my food motivation will make it fun to work on training with me. Kennel-  I sleep quietly in the kennel all night (although I am an early riser)  and I am kenneled periodically during the day. Sometimes I go into the kennel on my own to relax.  I do bark at strangers in the home if I am kenneled while they are there – but I quiet down quickly Potty Training-  I am almost completely housebroken – you just need to pay attention to how much water I have been drinking Things I am working on-  My foster mom is showing me that the world is not a scary place, and that we can have fun adventures together.  I was very nervous when I first got here, and new situations are still scary for me. My foster family takes me to a dog-friendly brewery, and I love meeting all the new people and dogs there.  Now that I am used to the humans in my home, I love to be near them, and like to get pets and belly rubs from them.  I am also learning that food on the counter does not belong to me -since I am very tall and have a hound’s nose, my adoptive family will need to make sure food is kept out of reach.  I have made great progress in learning to sit nicely for pets and treats instead of asking for them by jumping. Dogs-  I am being fostered with two adult dogs, and I follow them everywhere and love to play with them.  I would love another dog in my forever home, but it is not essential Kids -  Although I am very gentle and sweet, I am still working on not jumping on people.  Because of my size, it is best that I go to family with older children Cats-  unknown Walking-  My leash manners need some work, but I have learned that walking on a leash is not scary, and I love my walks now.  I rarely go potty on a leash, so it’s best that my forever family has a fenced yard, or has the patience to work with me on this Other things you should know about me- Like most extra-large dogs, I am a messy drinker, and can be a heavy drooler, especially when I’m nervous or if someone has food they are not sharing with me. I am spayed, up to date on vaccinations and preventive care, and ready to find a forever family If you would like to meet Bailey, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Luna and her brother, Ares, are ready to embark on a new chapter of their lives with you. This lovely lady is a stunning, white Great Dane who exhibits grace and charm that's simply unmatched. Her world is painted in shades of love and determination due to overcoming vision impairments with remarkable finesse due to her hearing and smelling She has proven that strength lies not in what we see, but in the unwavering spirit within. With every step, she demonstrates her determination to explore life to the fullest. Her bond with her brother is something truly special. They continue to find support from each other as they navigate their world safely. Their connection is a testament to the power of love and companionship, and they must be adopted together to ensure that they continue to thrive. They both love to be around their people and soak up the attention. While they aren't that into playing with toys, they do love going for walks and car rides! These two gentle giants can be the perfect addition to your family and can do well in a household with cats and older children. Both dogs are housebroken, crate-trained, and walk well on a leash. Their foster family has also noted they do well during car rides. A physical fence and minimal steps are required due to them having difficulty with hearing and vision. Story
Introducing Maxwell! Energetic Playful Affectionate Extraordinary Appearance: Maxwell is a stunning Great Dane with an elegant white coat. His beauty goes beyond his appearance, as his unique qualities make him an exceptional companion. Activities and Play: Maxwell has an active and adventurous spirit. He enjoys playing with various toys, from balls to ropes and deer antlers. Going for walks and exploring the world are among his favorite pastimes. Maxwell's boundless curiosity and enthusiasm are truly contagious. In the backyard, Maxwell lets loose with his famous "zoomies," showcasing his joyful and playful nature. He relishes companionship and interaction with his people, cherishing every moment of love and attention. Need for Companionship: Maxwell has a strong preference for being in the company of his loved ones. He dislikes being left alone and may bark when separated from his family. A home where someone is present more often than not is ideal for his well-being. Challenges and Adaptability: Maxwell faces significant vision impairment, but his resilience shines through. While he may see only a fraction of what others do, he adapts remarkably well once he's familiar with his environment. He may perceive motion, lightness, darkness, or the presence of objects, allowing him to navigate and enjoy life. Maxwell also has a significant hearing impairment. He may hear certain high-pitched noises, but he relies on his visual senses and the reassurance of his loved ones. His world is shaped by the guidance and support of his human companions. Boundaries: Maxwell appreciates respect for his personal space. He may get nervous when objects, people, or other dogs move quickly, given his limited sight and hearing. A physical fence is required to ensure his safety and security. Ideal Home: Having a submissive, active dog in his forever home can greatly contribute to Maxwell's happiness and confidence. If his adoptive family includes children, we recommend ages 12 and older with a calm demeanor. A calm and consistent home life is essential to his success. Previous Challenges: Maxwell had been bounced from home to home for the first half of his life. He truly deserves a stable and loving forever home. A family with experience in caring for dogs with deafness and vision impairment would be a true blessing for him. Maxwell is not just a dog; he's a testament to adaptability and the joy of living life to the fullest despite challenges. If you have the heart and dedication to provide him with the love and care he needs, please reach out to us. Maxwell is ready to embark on a new journey, and he'd love to share it with you. Please complete one of the following steps to make Maxwell a part of your family. 1.
