Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Apollo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello all you fantastic people out there, let me introduce myself. My name is Apollo and I'm here hoping to adopt me a family...one that I can say will be all mine! I am about 2 years old and come in at around 130lbs. Yes, that's a big fella but I'm sweet, loving and well...that's just a little bit more of me to love you!! I am an extremely very sweet and affectionate boy that does great with people but I'm kinda like a bull in a china shop so it would be best if I had a home with older kids. I do great with the other pups here but again sometimes I just don't realize my size and would do best with bigger pups. I would hate to accidently hurt them!! I am house and crate trained making it easy for us to get right to the fun stuff...right away. I'd love to share all your adventures from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting. I love getting pets, going for strolls, hiking nature trails, and my nice big soft squishy bed!! If you're ready for lots of love and affection, I is that big boy for you! All you need to do is fill out my adoption application and I will do the rest!! You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
Welcome Jinx to CCPAL Rescue. Jinx is a 2 year old Great Dan mix. He is tall and lanky like the great Dane and has the shy quality. He is a good weight and he is good with other dogs. He has lived with a large female and male in his home. He does know sit and is good on leash. We assume he is potty trained as he had an older man owner. His owner is in hospice care and is not doing well. A good Samaritan stepped up and helped them. She asked CCPAL to take them in and help them find a new forever home. He settles down nice and likes to lean in to his person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. We would love someone familiar with the Dane personality or someone who has had a large breed dog before. He would be a great man dog. He takes direction well and bonds deeply very quickly. He naturally likes men as he lived his life with one. He would be content being the only dog or being with another dog. He is not the dominant one of the 3 pack. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there, I’m Falkor, an 8-year-old, 100-pound Great Dane, and I’m here to tell you all about me! First things first, I’m a certified cuddle expert—snuggling is my absolute favorite thing in the world. If you let me, I’ll happily bury my head in your arms and just soak up the love. I might be a big guy, but I have a soft heart. At home, I like to relax in my favorite armchair and watch the world go by. Blankets, towels, and floppy toys are my jam—I’m still figuring out this “toy” thing, but I love cozy things I can snuggle into. Walks are another highlight of my day! I do pull a little on the leash, but I’m getting better every day with a confident human leading the way. If you have a big, fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and have a good run, that’s a bonus—but not a dealbreaker. I’m just as happy with regular walks to get my exercise and fresh air. I’ve got some great manners, too! I’m fully potty trained, crate trained, and I know commands like “come,” “go potty,” and “outside.” I’m a quiet guy who doesn’t bark much, just when something catches me off guard. When it comes to other dogs, I do best with bigger, calm companions. Small dogs can make me a little nervous, but I’m learning to be more comfortable with time and space. Oh, and kids? I think they’re great, but since I’m a big boy, kids who are used to big dogs are the best match for me. Oh, and one last thing—I LOVE pajamas. If I had my way, I’d have a whole closet full of cozy jammies to show off. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who’s all about cuddles and calm vibes, I’m your guy. Let’s meet—I can’t wait to find my forever family! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Meet Bartholomew (or Barry, for short), the 30-pound bundle of cuddles and love! This sweet puppy (around 6 months to a year old) is an American Bulldog mix who’s always up for snuggles. Barry loves to burrow under blankets, cuddle up beside you, and give endless kisses—especially to kids. He’s your classic “shadow” dog, always following you around and making sure he’s right there beside you. If you’re cold, don’t worry—Barry’s got your back, literally. He doesn’t love the cold and gets chilly easily, so he’s more than happy to wear his cozy jacket or sweater without complaint! Barry enjoys playing fetch, chewing on bones, and getting lots of love. He’s almost potty trained when kept on a good schedule, and he’s crate trained (though sometimes he prefers a little extra cuddle time outside the crate). He’s a fan of the great outdoors, so a fenced yard is a must for him to run and play in. He’s good on a leash, although he doesn't go on walks every day. He’s great with other dogs of all sizes and is definitely a fan of having doggy friends around. While he’d be perfectly fine as a solo dog in the right home, he’s definitely a social little guy. He does bark when other dogs bark or when our son’s noisy toys make an appearance, but that’s just part of his fun-loving personality. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but based on his easygoing nature, he’d probably do just fine! Barry is looking for a home where he can continue to be the cuddle bug he is, with a yard to play in and a family that loves him as much as he loves them. If you’re looking for a loving, playful puppy to keep you company, Barry is the perfect match! **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. If you’re looking for the happiest dog you’re ever going to meet, Sterling is the one for you! Don’t let his pictures fool you—this guy radiates joy and positive energy. He wants to meet everyone because he believes every stranger is one snuggle away from becoming another best friend!Sterling has stunning dark grey Weimaraner coloring with a Great Dane head and floppy lips combined with a lab’s happiness and size. He has such a gentle, loving temperament. He’s about 3 years old and underweight at 54 pounds—he’ll probably be 65-70 pounds once he’s filled out. This resilient stray wandered into his foster’s front yard on a freezing day, shivering until his soulful eyes melted our hearts.Sterling is potty trained, knows basic commands like “sit” and “down,” and gets along beautifully with his foster’s large female dog, small female dog, three cats, adults and kids. He did great meeting the whole pack at the rescue, too!Sterling adapts well when left on his own and has been taught good manners—no begging, no barking or any jumping on furniture. If you sit on the floor, he will plop right next to you, eager for your company. Sterling is ready to settle into his forever home. He’s an easily trainable, happy-go-lucky kinda guy, and he will become the loving 4-legged companion your family has been missing.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Needs a kid-free home - has nipped (level 2/3 on Dunbar scale, please contact for more info). He adores kids but is very protective of his home/property/car. Not food aggressive. Loves other dogs. Hoping to find him a loving home where he can thrive. Overall, he's a healthy and happy boy - just like the day we met him. He's so handsome (coloring is a blue fawn) and stayed on the smaller side, we call him a pocket Dane. 108 pounds. DOB is 4/20/19. He knows all his basic commands and is patient, kind, perfect mix of playful and lazy, and wants to please. Health scare when he was about 1.5, they ended up tacking his stomach. They think it might have been an IBS flareup, we found a food that works and he's had great digestion/no health issues since.

Story
Adoption Fee: $470 + taxes Location: Foster Home **The adoption fee listed above is partially sponsored by a generous donor!** Sasha is a loving and well-mannered 3-year-old looking for a new home after her person lost theirs. This athletic and affectionate girl is ready to be your next adventure buddy! Sasha is a fast learner, motivated by both treats and toys, making training fun. She’s always up for an activity. Her favorite activities include tug-of-war and walks. She’s also an excellent runner, never stopping to sniff or mark, making her a perfect jogging or skijoring partner. She’d likely excel at barn hunt or disc dog sports, but she’s just as happy being your loyal sidekick. When the adventure is over, Sasha is the ultimate snuggle buddy! She absolutely loves curling up next to her humans, leaning in for pets, and being as close as possible. Whether it’s lounging on the couch or warming up after a winter walk, she’ll be right by your side, soaking up the love. She’s great with big dogs but has a high prey drive, so she’ll do best in a home without small animals. Sasha is used to living with another dog and misses her sister, so she would love a compatible big or medium-sized canine friend. She plays well but needs slow introductions since her excitement can sometimes be misunderstood by other dogs. Sasha has also been very gentle with kids who respect dog's space, so a future home with children is still in the picture! Check out her playtime here: 🔗 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS5FLiVr89sq3IRfFGj2KPIla9Ic-pab9 Despite her energy, she’s also a sweet and well-mannered girl—she won’t fuss over a bath or nail trim, and she’s not a toy shredder. If you’re looking for a fun, active, and incredibly cuddly companion, Sasha is ready to be your best friend! Could Sasha be the perfect fit for your home? Story
Hey there, I am Gordy aka Gordon (when I’m not listening) and Gordito Crunch (when my foster mama is playing with me)! I am an almost 3 year old Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix. That just means I’m extra great of course!  I have the Great Dane height and body but a Great Pyrenees head with the Pyrenees shedding.  I was originally surrendered as a puppy due to having special back legs. I was adopted to a wonderful family but recently was surrendered back to rescue because I can be a strong personality. I get that from the Great Pyrenees side.  I love hard and love attention from my humans but don’t enjoy people I don’t know initially. I take my job of guarding the home seriously and need my humans to communicate and prove to me that they can control and protect the house so I don’t have to worry about it.  I recently spent a month with a really nice lady who taught me really fun things like walking well on leash, a strong place command, heel, come and all of the other skills I need to be a well mannered boy.  I really love to play with toys and other dog friends as long as they are not dominant. I’m a total goofball but have shown resource guarding over food with other dogs. I prefer to eat my food and bones in my kennel.  I really love my kennel. I sleep there at night and when my foster parents are gone. I will counter surf if left unattended.  Remember how I was surrendered as a puppy due to having special legs? Well, I still have special back legs. I was born with slightly twisted femurs so I walk a bit differently and have arthritis in my back knees. I love to run and play but can be sore after playing all day long so I occasionally take gabapentin to help. I also require daily joint supplements to help my bones stay healthy.  I currently take anxiety meds daily. I have been on these since I was young to help with my desire to protect the home. These meds cost about $90 for a 90 day supply so any future adopter needs to be able to continue to pay for regular medications.  Foster Mama Here: Gordy is the bestest boy. We fostered him when he was a puppy as well. We do not let him greet visitors at our house and require him to stay on his bed in a “place” while visitors are here. He is also happy to stay in his kennel. He does like to meet people slowly and at a good pace. Once he knows and trusts you he will forever welcome you as a family member of his.  Gordy has so much potential and loves so hard. But he will require owners who can set strict boundaries in the home and hold him accountable. His breed and genetics make him want to protect his home and people but if you a set boundaries he is such a great listener.  We walk him on a prong collar and he is eCollar trained. His adopters will need to commit to continued use of these training tools and also meeting with his board and train trainer to learn about everything he knows.  Gordy loves the snow and playing outside. His favorite is his doggy pool in the summer. We have 4 other dogs in our home and he plays with all of them.  Gordy lived with kids in his first home. He was very protective over them so we do not recommend he go to a home with children under the age of 12. He has been thriving with a farm life and would do best outside of the city. ##954057##

Story
Kota here! That’s right, I have finally put on enough weight to begin the hunt for my forever home!  I am a 3 year old neutered male Great Dane. I have a fawn coat with Merle splotches aka freckles on my ears.  When I first came into rescue I came from a neglect case and was found  tied to a tree, emaciated, with many parasites and open sores. I slowly gained weight but initially had a hard time understanding I don’t need to fight for my food. I showed resource guarding behaviors but after being neutered and getting to a healthy weight I am much more comfortable with other dogs around food.  I need a family who is confident and comfortable implementing boundaries around food and resources such as furniture, beds, etc. Doing so will help me learn I don’t need to protect these things in a new living situation. I am comfortable sharing all of these things in my foster home now. I currently eat my meals in my kennel so I don’t have to worry about sharing food and prefer to continue to eat in a safe space by myself. I can however happily sit and wait for a treat with other dogs around me! I do love to play tug and share toys with my foster brother and sister.  I am learning how to play appropriately. I can be a bit vocal when I get very excited but I listen to my foster parents when they tell me to calm down. I love to wrestle with other non-dominant dogs. I would probably do best with dogs over 25 pounds due to my size, energy and play style.  I LOVE human attention and snuggles. I am a smart boy who is kennel trained, potty trained and I know sit, down, stay, off and out. I love to play fetch in the yard. I LOVE vet visits - again give me all the human attention always! Foster Mama has been working with me on patience for my meals. I know I need to sit and wait until she tells me “ok” for my food. I am also learning “4 on the floor” as in an be a bit jumpy with my favorite people. I just am so excited to see them I can’t contain myself! Even though I am 3 I am a higher energy boy who loves to run and play. I would love an active family.  Recently I have started going to the local indoor dog park and have done SO well playing with other dogs and meeting all the new human friends.  Kota will be most successful with a family who will continue to utilize a crate, attend training classes, and is willing to continue to work on his socialization.  I am currently in foster care in the Twin Cities.  To learn more about me reach out to my rescue! ##2208464##

Story
Hi Friends! My name is Magnolia but everyone calls me Maggie. I am a spayed, female Great Dane that is 1.5 years old. If you are looking for a funny girl who is well trained and has a willingness to please her family, then I am your girl. I am a cute petite lady that loves attention and playing. My interests are eating water biscuits, wiggling my butt, running with my Dane friends, and playing with all the toys at once. I am well trained and listen to commands; however, being consistent will keep me out of mischief. I am fully potty trained, and crate trained, but I am vocal during the day while in the crate. I sleep in my crate at night and I am so worn out from my busy day that you won’t hear me make a sound. I do get along well with my Great Dane friends in the house but they can’t handle all this personality and playfulness. I would like to find a forever home that will continue being consistent with my training and take me on walks. Sometimes I can get overwhelmed with chaos and get too excited so a Great Dane savvy family is what I’m looking for. I would also really appreciate a strong dog friend to guide me and lead me as I’m just a young lady. I can’t wait to find my very own home because I am a lover that appreciates attention. ##2319866##

Story
Welcome Emma to CCPAL foster program. Emma is a 3-year old pure English Mastiff. We do not have papers. She weighs 110 pounds. She pulls on leash but she does lean in on the person that is her person. She responds well to affection and was taking direction well in just a short period of time working with her at the Rescue. She is a gentle giant. This is a loyal breed and my experience with them is they are protective of their family once they bond. Mastiff breeds are notoriously patient and good with children. She knows Spanish and English commands. She is good with children and other dogs. She isn’t good with small dogs. She would be great with a moderately active family familiar with an XL dog or the Mastiff breed. This breed will do wonderful with strong person who knows how to give good direction. She is stunning and if you love this breed, you will love this dog. She is getting spayed soon and will be getting her vaccines and be ready for her forever home in a couple of weeks. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to be delivered to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org
