We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! Story
Acquired from Petland in Novi, Luna is a very sweet, cuddly big baby that is not always aware of her size. She sits on my lap like she is not my own weight, and if you let her sit with you on the couch she will nap and stretch, pushing you off the edge. She is currently 119lbs. I would not recommend sleeping with her, you might wake up on the floor. She was trained with Sit Means Sit in Rochester Hills, so she does come with a collar and remote (walks are the best, she stays by your side 100% of the time). Sadly, she no longer gets along with the other dogs, we also own four Dachshunds. Not sure if this is usual but they used to get along when she was younger, from age 4 months -1yr 3 months, they even slept together and played-fought, staying friendly. It wasn’t until recently that she began looking at them as if to intimidate them. We have kept them apart ever since, to prevent any incidents. However, when it comes to me and the rest of the family, she is very very snuggly and calm.

Story
Holly is still waiting for her forever family--such a great dog who "purrs!" This wonderful Dane is ready to be adopted!  Graceful Holy with lots of affection and mild mannered would like to join your family! Holly is a funny girl sleeping in all kinds of positions that seem to be uncomfortable; but she is just fine! Typical Great Dane lap dog and cuddler! May need slow intro to other dogs; but foster home feels Holly just needs socialization! She has been good in the car; and is good on a leash. Rarely barks but does talk to you! Was used for breeding. Needs secured yard. She is with another Great Dane in the foster home. Holly jumps like a deer when she is outside and happy! Holly is truly a wonderful companion and a very patient older sister to the other Dane in the home. Latest update from foster home May, 2024 indicates that Holly is "a very smart, very affectionate Dane." She has completed all medical! Her favorite thing seems to be standing in front of someone so they have no choice but to pet her and love her! Not good with cats or smaller dogs -could definitely get along with large dog.
