Story
Kleo is a 5yo Female great Dane! She is blue and sweet as can be to humans, does okay with cats and kids. She loves to snuggle and is so soft and pretty! She is happiest snuggled up on the couch or in bed with people! Kleo is however, extremely reactive to other dogs. She would do best in a home with a fenced in back yard (6ft or taller) with no other pets. She does do okay with cats but will bark at them occasionally. She has been around little kids and while she would never hurt one on purpose, she may accident knock a kid over. Overall she is a sweet girl and deserves a loving family.

Story
Meet Argus! This super sweet boy is a 6 month old great dane who is looking for his forever home. He can be timid at first, as he came from a commercial breeder, but he wants nothing but love and attention. He gives the best cuddles, and follows his fosters everywhere. He loves pig ears, chicken feet, and turkey. He is house and kennel trained. He is learning about the outside world, does okay on a leash but does need reassurance that it's okay. Once he gets going on his walk, he settles into a nice rhythm and enjoys all the sights and smells. He is dog friendly, and would love a confident peer dog to show him the ropes. He would do best in a home without small children, as his size could easily hurt a small child when he's running and bouncing around. His adoption fee is 400$. This covers cost of neuter, microchip, rabies vaccine, 4 rounds of distemper/parvo, 2 rounds of leptospirosis vaccine, multiple rounds of dewormer, bordetella vaccine, and has been on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Story
Hi. My name is Barnabus. I’m a little shy at first with new people and new pet friends. I don’t chew on things I’m not supposed to, however, I will take food things off the counter. I am good with going into my kennel. My most favorite thing to do is lay in the couch and watch the rabbit play in her cage. In the mornings when my foster Mom goes outside I howl. Not real loud but enough for her to hear me, and I watch her out the window. I enjoy walks but sometimes I like to walk faster than my foster Mom. When she lightly tugs on the leash I slow down and look at her.Barnabus is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about him or meet him, please email foster@kcpetproject.org.

Story
Quinton is a eight month old great Dane mix who brings smiles to everyone he meets. Him and his two brothers (Julian and Elijah) were strays of Gas city. When they first arrived they were afraid of their own shadow and now have blossomed into the silliest and goofiest boys. Quinton is very submissive and loves dogs of all sizes. From Great Dane to Chihuahua, with smaller dogs he`ll get on their level and give the gentlest boops to get them to play with him. He also loves kids of all ages as well, he can be a little shy when first meeting new people. It doesn`t take him long to open up especially when treats are involved. We believe he is housebroken and walks good on a leash. To say Quinton loves water is an understatement, he`s obsessed with the hose so much you can often catch him yelling at you to spray him instead of filling up his water bowl or pool. Quinton`s adoption fee is $100 which includes his neuter, up to date on shots, deworming, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, and a microchip.

When they first arrived they were afraid of their own shadow and now have blossomed into the silliest and goofiest boys. Elijah likes other dogs, but can be selective. We believe he is housebroken and walks good on a leash. To say Elijah loves water is an understatement, he`s obsessed with the hose so much you can often catch him catching the water droplets as you spray him. He would be a great protector because when you first hear his bark its deep and intimidating. And then he comes over all butt wiggles and kisses once he realizes who you are. he loves playing tug a war with his brothers, stuffed animals don`t stand a chance. Elijah`s adoption fee is $100 which includes his neuter, up to date on shots, deworming, flea treatment, bath, nail trim, and a microchip.

Story
Hi there! I’m Moose! I was homeless for a very long time, but was adopted about a year ago. I thought this was it, that I'd found my forever home and I was so, so happy! Unfortunately, the person who said she would love me forever and ever decided to move and now I'm homeless again. I have a proposition for you, though--I promise to be your best friend forever and remain loyal and true to you if you'll make me your "for real" forever boy. I've gotten a little older (I'm nine very handsome years old now, to be precise) and I'm still a big boy. But please don’t let my size intimidate you. It just means my heart is bigger! The truth is, I am a very well-behaved boy who is just really looking forward to being part of a family. I sure hope my family sees this and wants to meet me. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and I can have my bags packed to go home with you in no time! I may be a big boy, but I travel light! But the best thing I can offer is that I come with a lifetime of unconditional love. Everyone needs that, right? I am also a very treat-motivated guy. What can I say, I love my food! Being treat-motivated will actually help me learn new things. I already know the commands, “sit,” and “down,” but I would love to learn more. Would you like to help me learn new things? No one knows for certain my past, from before I came to The Pet Connection, because I haven’t shared it all with them, and I don’t really like to dwell on it. But I will tell you that I can be a bit scared of strangers and a bit selective about my doggy friends. Let’s see, what else . . . oh yeah, I also love to play with toys—especially the ones that squeak! Squeaky toys are THE BEST! I am house-trained and crate-trained, too. Oh, AND I like to sit on the riding lawn mower. That’s normal, right? Don’t most dogs like to sit on riding lawn mowers? But it’s really ok if you don’t have a riding lawn mower; I can be flexible about that. So, are you looking for a well-behaved boy with a big heart? If so, will you please come meet me? To make a pet connection, call/text The Pet Connection at (913) 671-7387. I'm staying with them in Beloit, Kansas, but I would totally be on board with hitching a ride to my new home.
