Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Story
Meet Thor, He is a 1 year old fawn, he is an alpha male. He definitely lets you no when someone is around. I purchased him from a breeder, he was pick of the litter at 8 weeks he weighed 25 pounds. He is very large for his age he is approximately 150 to 160 very strong and heavy. He is gentle, he likes to cuddle, and play. When I bought him I had 10 acres of land since that time we moved and he does not have room enough to play and run around. I looking for a fun loving home that he deserves. He’s a great dog. Never been around children so not sure how he would be.
