Story
We found a litter of puppies back in February on the side of the road. We believe their birthdays are around Christmas, so he is around 10 months old. We decided to keep two of the puppies. Recently they have not been getting along and have started to fight. I was not aware that dogs have sibling rivalry. Sonny gets along great with our older German shepherd. He is extremely good with kids. He is submissive, smart, and a very sweet boy. They have been more outside dogs, but I'm sure he would pick up house training very fast, as he knows how to sit, paw, lay on command.

Story
Home for the Holidays - Reduced fee is Adopted by January 10th! Meet Bearon! This handsome hunk with beautiful eyes is a  4 -year-old, 65-pound Great Dane and Catahoula mix (we think). He's house- and crate-trained and walks well on a leash. He's looking for his forever family and wants a home where he's your only kiddo (human or furry). Bearon is cautious around strangers and appreciates slow, gentle introductions. Once you’re in his circle of trust, though, he’s a total love bug—affectionate, sweet, and devoted. While he gets along with other dogs, Bearon prefers to be the "star of the show" since he is a little protective of his food and toys. An active boy with plenty of energy, Bearon would love a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can romp and play. After some exercise and fun, he’s all about couch cuddles and sleeping by your side. Complete an adoption application and meet him during our Home for Holidays Special!!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.           December 12, 2024, 3:27 pm

Story
Home for the Holidays - Reduced Adoption Fees if Adopted by January 10th!  Hello all, I am Scoobie! I am a 8-year-old, beautiful, black, Great Dane and sometimes I even act like I know it! My fommy always calls me hansum, she makes me blush! And if you need to smile, well look no further than me! As you will see, I have a flipped up ear at times! It’s like a comb over ear! It brings a smile to everyone’s face! I’m a big boy at about 120 pounds, and my personality is BIG TOO! So here are the things a hooman needs to know about me.    I would do best being the only pup as I like my things. I don’t share the best with humans or other animals, so I need someone who can keep helping me be the best me like my foster parents do! They are patient with me, work with me, and when I do good things, they give me treats!! So I love doing good things!   I’m very food motivated so I will pretty much do anything you want me to do if you have a treat in your hand! I am also on medication daily that helps me be a better me and will need that medication indefinitely. I am a big couch potato, but I also sleep well in a crate. I am potty trained too! Woohoo!   I am a very strong boy, I don’t mean to be, but I am so I do need someone strong enough to handle my big boy size and strength. My foster mom’s requirements for being my new family are:   Must have Great Dane experience No children  No other pets Patient and willing to continue the training work.  Understands that I will forever be on medication that helps calm me and it works!      If you think you would love to be my new family and would love to give me the home I need to live out my golden years, please let Angels Among Us know!     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           December 13, 2024, 7:42 am

Dude is a chill dude who wants to cuddle up with you! He was surrendered and almost euthanized but the vet  refused to put him to sleep and called the rescue. He has no known vices but he still has a little puppy in him and needs to have something to chew if he's bored.  Age: 1 year  Weight: 65lbs   Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.   Location: Colquitt, GA (3 hours away) but rescuer willing to conduct meetups in Atlanta   Contact for questions: janastoker@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.  November 8, 2024, 2:51 pm
