Story
Being fostered in Inverness, Florida. Obsidian is a bit underweight for a 16-week-old Great Dane as she came from a not-so-great situation. The start to her short little life has not been ideal but we are determined to make sure her future is amazing. Obsidian is settling in well at her foster home and loves playing with the other dogs but she is not sure why the cats don't want to play with her too. She loves the small children but can get a little excited and due to her large puppy size can be a bit much and just needs to learn manners. She thinks the livestock at the farm are cool but she would rather spend her energy playing and doesn't pay them much mind. Crate trained well. Working on house training and leash manners.

Story
Is there anything more gorgeous? 😍 We are in LOVE with our boy, Whiskey! 🥃 To say he’s a showstopper is an understatement. He’s simply amazing! Whiskey just turned 2 years old on February 7th and is roughly 130-140lbs. He is a stunning Fawnequin Great Dane whose personality is as good as his looks ❤️ Whiskey: ❤️ He’s great in public places 🥃 Housetrained ❤️ Affectionate and a great best friend 🥃 Loves playing with other dogs While he absolutely loves playing with other dogs, he does get nervous if the other dog is too exuberant and has an in your face play style. So he needs them to be calm at first or else slow introductions. He is currently living with 7 other dogs from 20# - 145# and gets along with all of them. Whiskey is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He’s in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $450. Story
Meet Rudy, another one of our handsome young male Danes! Rudy just turned one on January 10, and lives up to every bit of what a young Dane acts like. He LOVES to get the zoomies and run around. He LOVES to lean on you for affection and attention. And, he LOVES his treats! Rudy was surrendered by a family with young children because he would jump and the children became scared to be around him, causing him to have to be crated a lot of the time. They realized that was not fair to him so they made the decision to ask us for help, and we're so glad they did! While it is true that he can jump, he also knows commands, is completely housetrained and crate trained, and so far, has been able to be left out loose when unattended! He does need some leash training, as he is a puller, but as with any young dog, consistent, disciplined training will work wonders with this boy! He lived with a small dog when he was a puppy, but not for the last 6 months. He has met other big and small dogs and been fine, but he is quite exuberant in his play style, so we would not recommend he go to a home with any senior dogs, or for reasons stated above, young children. He will not be able to go to a home with cats, unfortunately. His ideal home would have a fenced yard so that he could still continue to get his zoomies when he wants, and perhaps even an active home that would allow him to get attention a lot of the time. However, that is not necessary. He could be fine as an only dog as long as his socialization skills are maintained, preferably in a doggy day care environment or known dog situation (not public dog parks). Rudy's is fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will be neutered on March 17. He can be adopted prior to that date with the understanding that the adopter would have to get him back to Sarasota that morning by 8:30. He is fostered in Sarasota and his adoption fee is $500. If you are interested in adding this handsome hunk to your family, please complete an adoption application at https://www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process. If you have submitted an application previously, please just send an email to Info@Love4PawsFL.org to express interest.

Story
Hello,my name is Tater Russet! My sister Star & I are a bonded pair, and we must be adopted together. Tater came to us at 9 days old, his mother was not producing milk and he needed to be bottle fed. He is a very sweet, loving, cuddly, playful, and goofy boy. His favorite toy is the leaf blower, and hair dryer. He was 1 of 8 puppies in the litter, and will grow up to be a Mini Dane. Sadly, about 3 months ago he started to not get along with our 3 year old male dog. We are unable to keep him for this reason. Tater and our other male, cannot be allowed to interact freely, making us keep Tater in a crate more than we would EVER like to. It is unfair to Tater, and breaks out hearts to rehome him, but we know it is the best solution for him. Tater is fully vaccinated, neutered, obedience trained, potty trained, and crate trained. All he will need over the next year is your love and attention. Tater would love to become your newest family member.
