We got Taz to be my replacement Service Dog which needs to be 60-70 lbs. He’s currently 95 lbs & 30” at the shoulder. DNA testing shows 26% Great Dane, 25% German Shepherd plus misc others. He was born on 6/30/23. Current shots include Rattlesnake & Flu. He’s licensed In Riverside County. Taz went through 6 weeks of private professional training. Taz is kennel trained & has great house manners. He loves to run & play with our female Doberman. We also have 2 cats. Taz needs a big yard to run in, another big dog to play with, to be inside with us or hang out in the yard, lots of toys, to be walked, to sleep on the bed or at least in the bedroom with you, LOTS of cuddles, hugs & kisses. Cons: he’s not quick to warm up to people but once he gets to know you he loves you. He is an awesome lovable dog. We love him very much but need to face the fact that he just got too big to be my Service Dog & I need a Service Dog. I can provide videos & more pictures.

Story

Oliver is a very loving Great Dane. He is very laid back and mostly lounges around the house. He enjoys playing fetch and tug of war. Oliver loves to be near his people and is happiest when receiving love and affection. He can be quite stubborn at times, consistency and persistence go a long way. Our lives have become too busy for us to give him the life he deserves. I'm hoping to find him a loving home where he will get all the hugs and pets he deserves. He has had a few bite incidents. The trigger for the bites were when someone was trying to make him move when he didn't want to. Aside from one incident when an elderly woman was petting his face and he snapped at her, not biting, but his tooth scratched the skin on her hand. During these bite incidents he did not growel or give any warning signs prior to the bite.

Story

Meet our boy Charlie! He was pulled just in time before he was planned to be euthanized. He has the Great Dane personality traits of being a gentle giant, love bug and very sensitive. We have been doing slow introductions with him to other dogs and he is learning to be confident and how to be a dog. Although we dont know much about his past we do know that he has been adjusting to city life with noises and a lot more action than where he was found. He walks great on a leash and we are working on basic commands. Charlie can be stubborn at times and will need a little coaxing to get moving especially when its time to go potty outside in the rain. We think the best home for him would be with a family with older children that likes to go out for walks. He would do great in a home with other calmer dogs or as the one and only! We recently learned through an echocardiogram that Charlie has been diagnosed with mild DCM. He started a prescription of Vetmedin daily. We plan to take him to a specialist within 6 months to get re-evaluated. He is not showing any signs and we are taking precautions with the prescription and additional supplements to ensure that we keep him healthy!
