Story

River is a great dog who loves to cuddle all day and night long. He will by 7 months old on January 2, 2025 and is currently at 93 lbs. He needs a person who will be able to spend lots of time with him. He is also very energetic since he is a puppy but is also happy to enjoy a lazy day on the couch. He loves the dog park and he is so good with dogs, cats, and kids. He knows basic commands and is obedient most of the time. Unfortunately, he is being treated for pneumonia that he picked up at doggy day care. Luckily, we have access to high quality vet care so he will be cleared by the vet before adjusting to a new home. In the meantime, we are accepting applications to find his forever home while he is going through treatment. Anyone interested will be fully vetted to make sure he finds a good home. We are also happy to schedule meet ups.

He's full of energy and has no clue that he's a "special needs" pup - because in his eyes, he's just like any other dog! Bowie has a condition called megaesophagus, which means his food needs a little extra help getting down. But don't worry, he's a total pro at meal times! He simply eats sitting upright in a special chair (it's like his own little throne!) to help his food go down smoothly. Other than his unique dining style, Bowie's routine is pretty much like any other dog's. After his meals, it's right back to zooming around, playing with toys, and enjoying belly rubs! At night, Bowie will charm you with the sweetest little whine to let you know when he needs to go outside - talk about a gentleman! He's also social, loving the company of both humans and other dogs. We got Taz to be my replacement Service Dog which needs to be 60-70 lbs. He’s currently 95 lbs & 30” at the shoulder. DNA testing shows 26% Great Dane, 25% German Shepherd plus misc others. He was born on 6/30/23. Current shots include Rattlesnake & Flu. He’s licensed In Riverside County. Taz went through 6 weeks of private professional training. Taz is kennel trained & has great house manners. He loves to run & play with our female Doberman. We also have 2 cats. Taz needs a big yard to run in, another big dog to play with, to be inside with us or hang out in the yard, lots of toys, to be walked, LOTS of cuddles, hugs & kisses. He’s not quick to warm up to people but once he gets to know you he loves you. He is an awesome lovable dog. The shelter & vet said he’d get to be about 60-70 lbs but he just kept growing. We love him very much but need to face the fact that he just got too big to be my Service Dog & I need a Service Dog. I can provide videos & more pictures.

Meet our boy Charlie! He was pulled just in time before he was planned to be euthanized. He has the Great Dane personality traits of being a gentle giant, love bug and very sensitive. We have been doing slow introductions with him to other dogs and he is learning to be confident and how to be a dog. Although we dont know much about his past we do know that he has been adjusting to city life with noises and a lot more action than where he was found. He walks great on a leash and we are working on basic commands. Charlie can be stubborn at times and will need a little coaxing to get moving especially when its time to go potty outside in the rain. We think the best home for him would be with a family with older children that likes to go out for walks. He would do great in a home with other calmer dogs or as the one and only! We recently learned through an echocardiogram that Charlie has been diagnosed with mild DCM. He started a prescription of Vetmedin daily. We plan to take him to a specialist within 6 months to get re-evaluated. He is not showing any signs and we are taking precautions with the prescription and additional supplements to ensure that we keep him healthy!
