You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dane-Savvy Foster to Adopt Home Needed! Trooper is all Dane! He loves his humans and has so much fun galloping around his yard and hanging out with his Chihuahua mix foster brother! This sweet boy still needs some medical care, so needs a foster-to-adopt home where he can recover after his upcoming surgery. Once he is neutered, he will be ready for life as a loved family member and ready to snuggle, snooze, and explore with his forever family. Trooper needs a Dane-savvy family who is willing to continue his training (SVPP can help with initial training) and understands the Great Dane personality. Trooper is fully housetrained, sleeps great on his comfy bed, and rides beautifully in the car. He is still learning how to play with toys, but LOVES to play with water.  Are you a Great Dane Family? Trooper would love to meet you! Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 14, 2024, 1:09 pm

Story
Roman is a big old baby who needs all the love, scratches and play time that you can give him! Roman loves to run and do zoomies all over the yard. His favorite games are fetch, tug of war and keep away. Once he has burned off his high puppy energy, Roman is happy to lay down on the couch for a nice nap. Roman knows to sit and wait for permission before eating out of his food bowl. Roman knows his basic commands such as sit and stay, but due to his large size additional obedience training is recommended to help Roman to not knock over his loved ones. He does nicely in his kennel and is eager to please. Roman currently lives with other dogs but is currently kept separate as he is healing from an injury given to him by another not-so-nice dog. Roman was initially in doggy playgroups at the shelter, but given the traumatic experience will need slow introductions to new dogs to be successful. Roman is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Roman to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
This is not a typical re-homing situation. i would never get rid of her unless i Had to. I have a neurological movement disorder and Ruth was brought to me to be a service animal for balance and gait. However, She injured herself and will need to have TPLO surgery.TPLO surgery is common among giant breed. She does not need to have surgery ASAP bc she is still growing. It's amazing she has more to grow! She was born March 2023 and she is already 32' to the withers and 120lbs. i love her so much and i have her trained since she was 12 weeks old but she can NO longer work. I have been her 'service person'. She is a pure-bread Merle from Oak Bend Danes in Texas. If you live in Northern California. i have her set for surgery at a orthopedic hospital that only performs TPLO surgeries. The cost is $4,200. Some people choose not to have TPLO surgery. i cannot afford the surgery with my disability checkShe is so special to me so finding her the right family is number 1 to me.

NAME:MaxxSTATS:Male, Dane Corso/ Mastiff Mix, 1.5 years, 115 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Needs seasoned owner to work with issues (see below).Moderately ActiveInitially was told he was fearful of men, which seems to be he just needs slow introductions to new people where he can approach them at his own pace. Warms up quickly to men and women as long as it is done slowly and at his pace. Initially weary of strangers. SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Older children in a savvy home only (12+)Has not been exposed to cats.Has not been exposed to other dogs and ideally looking to place as an only dog at this time.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Needs patient proactive owner willing to work on behavior (see details below).Signing up for basic training will be a requirement to adopt. EXPERIENCED/large breed savvy owners required.ONE LAST THING:Maxx is a supersized puppy with lots of attention and love to give to the right family. He is goofy and loves to play, especially with an appropriately sized toy like his JUMBO Jolly-Ball. He loves treats and while he is a little on the shy side at first with new people, he warms up quickly as long as it is done at his pace. After the initial warm up phase, his true personality comes out. There is a playful side to him as well as a lazy lay at your feet side, although sometimes he may mistakenly lay on your feet in his attempt to cuddle :).Maxx initially had negative reactions when it came to strangers and pretty much everything new to him (including swaying palm trees). With reassurance, positive reinforcement in the form of treats, and looking to his handler for a confidence boost, his triggers have lost power. He will need continued socialization, desensitization, and training. With the right forever home, Maxx will continue to improve. He picks up on things very quickly and is very treat and toy motivated. He does need someone who will be patient with him, but also serve as someone who he can turn to for confidence and stability when he is unsure or frightened of something new for reassurance. Story
Seamus (shay-mus) is a one-of-a-kind blockhead who is ready to give his heart to the right person or family. He is in a foster home with lots of dogs and does well with everyone. He’s shown that he is super smart, friendly, playful, emotionally in-tune with his human friends, and a supreme cuddle bug. Seamus is crate-trained, knows basic commands, and walks nicely on-leash. He can be excitable in the way he wants to give all his love at once, but is learning to control his impulses as he continues to decompress in his new structured environment. Seamus is 6 years old, 70ish pounds and healthy. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.September 18, 2024, 6:27 pm
