Story
Roman is a big old baby who needs all the love, scratches and play time that you can give him! Roman loves to run and do zoomies all over the yard but does need to be supervised as he does still have puppy behavior and does destroy things. His favorite games are fetch, tug of war and keep away. Once he has burned off his high puppy energy, Roman is happy to lay down on the couch for a nice nap. Check out Roman's video playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVb0fq1O6CwnQL5npA-5fzZSd7ETv_L-1 Roman knows to sit and wait for permission before eating out of his food bowl. Roman knows his basic commands such as sit and stay, but due to his large size additional obedience training is recommended to help Roman to not knock over his loved ones. Roman was initially in doggy playgroups at the shelter, but given the traumatic experience will need slow introductions to new dogs to be successful. Roman is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. If you would like to meet Roman to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will call you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet.

Story
NAME:MaxxSTATS:Male, Dane Corso/ Mastiff Mix, 1.5 years, 115 lbs.TEMPERAMENT:Shy at first and warms up.Needs seasoned owner to work with issues (see below).Moderately ActiveInitially was told he was fearful of men, which seems to be he just needs slow introductions to new people where he can approach them at his own pace. Warms up quickly to men and women as long as it is done slowly and at his pace. Initially weary of strangers. SKILLSPotty trained.Crate trained.Older children in a savvy home only (12+)Has not been exposed to cats.Has not been exposed to other dogs and ideally looking to place as an only dog at this time.MORE ABOUT ME:Likes belly rubs.Needs patient proactive owner willing to work on behavior (see details below).Signing up for basic training will be a requirement to adopt. EXPERIENCED/large breed savvy owners required.ONE LAST THING:Maxx is a supersized puppy with lots of attention and love to give to the right family. He is goofy and loves to play, especially with an appropriately sized toy like his JUMBO Jolly-Ball. He loves treats and while he is a little on the shy side at first with new people, he warms up quickly as long as it is done at his pace. After the initial warm up phase, his true personality comes out. There is a playful side to him as well as a lazy lay at your feet side, although sometimes he may mistakenly lay on your feet in his attempt to cuddle :).Maxx initially had negative reactions when it came to strangers and pretty much everything new to him (including swaying palm trees). With reassurance, positive reinforcement in the form of treats, and looking to his handler for a confidence boost, his triggers have lost power. He will need continued socialization, desensitization, and training. With the right forever home, Maxx will continue to improve. He picks up on things very quickly and is very treat and toy motivated. He does need someone who will be patient with him, but also serve as someone who he can turn to for confidence and stability when he is unsure or frightened of something new for reassurance. Story
Hi! My name is Sigrid, and I'm the sweetest girl looking for a new home. I love walks, sniffs, snuggles, chewing on a bone, riding in the car - especially if I can get my nose out the window - and playing chase with my dog friends. I love to curl up next to my human on the couch and am such a good girl home alone in the house. I am very smart and always listen to my humans, unless I see a cat and then I can't resist chasing! I would love to meet you! History: I used to be a stray in the first few months of my life before I went to a good home, so I am afraid of strangers. I bond deeply with my live-in humans, but I need to keep my distance from visitors.

Story
Seamus (shay-mus) is a one-of-a-kind blockhead who is ready to give his heart to the right person or family. He is in a foster home with lots of dogs and does well with everyone. He’s shown that he is super smart, friendly, playful, emotionally in-tune with his human friends, and a supreme cuddle bug. Seamus is crate-trained, knows basic commands, and walks nicely on-leash. He can be excitable in the way he wants to give all his love at once, but is learning to control his impulses as he continues to decompress in his new structured environment. Seamus is 6 years old, 70ish pounds and healthy. California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.October 24, 2024, 1:31 pm

Story
Please meet my 8 month old puppies, Baba and Ocito. They are up to date on shots. They are very sweet boys and would make great family dogs. They are good with other kids, dogs, and even goats and horses. I am relocating and need to find them a loving home. Baba is an Anatolian shepherd, and Ocito, the white one, is Akbash. They both have the Great Pyrenees mixed in. They are wonderful boys and the sweetest dogs. I’d like to keep them together but not required.
