Hi there! My name is Opal. Aren't I such a beautiful girl? Until being rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I was living on the streets of LA as a stray. I tried my hardest to find scraps to eat and a safe place to sleep, but life was so hard all on my own... I spent months starving, suffering from a severe flea infestation, and sleeping on a pile of trash I collected. I wasn't sure if help would ever come for me, but as soon as BFP heard my story they sprang into action! Despite everything that I've been through, I am such a sweetheart. I am gentle, trusting, and so unbelievably loving. I'm working on building my confidence, but it's already clear that I'm going to be the best companion in the world for my adopter. I'm also great with other dogs! Won't you consider giving me the loving home I've always dreamed of? Zeus was rescued from a homeless encampment with five other siblings. All his siblings have found forever homes and now Zeus is waiting for a living home to call his home. He is around 10 months old. Zeus was a shy pup at first but he has excelled since being with us. Due to a little shyness still we wouldn’t recommend young Children. Older kids are fine. He is sensitive to shouting and yelling since he was in and around loud and intense people in the encampment. He is crate and Potty trained. He loves playing in the water in the yard and he is overall a constant playful little fella. He enjoys walks at the park and would make a wonderful hiking buddy once he feels comfortable in the environment. He does great with other dogs and could benefit from having another friend in the house to teach him the fun life of being a pup. Chantilly is a beautiful, 6 year old, fawn spayed female Great Dane. Chantilly was dumped on the streets in an industrial area until Lovejoy found her and brought her to safety. Once at Lovejoy, she gave birth to babies who have since found their forever homes. Now it’s Chantilly’s time to know the love and safety of a family. This girl deserves all the love in the world and will give it in return. She’s good with kids and dogs. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. The animals are not available to be met or considered for adoption until the whole stray hold time is honored. An "off stray hold" date will be posted for all animals on a stray hold and at that time can be considered for adoption. We appreciate your patience and understanding on our procedures and protocols. Gracie was pulled out of Riverside County Animal Shelter. She was on euthanasia list. She is a Great Dane mix, about 3-4 yrs old, weighs about 50 lbs. She is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is very selective with dogs so it is better for her and new owner to be the only dog. She is friendly with people.
