Story
Atticus is a big, exuberant boy bursting with love and enthusiasm! This handsome pup came to us from unfortunate circumstances and is so ready to find out what a home filled with love and care looks like. When Atticus first entered our care, he was underweight, and now he loves, loves, loves his food-sometimes a little too much! He's learning to pace himself and would benefit from a feeding routine that supports his healthy weight gain and keeps him happy. At his core, Atticus is a smart and eager-to-please pup, but he doesn't quite realize his size or strength yet. Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children or fragile environments, as he's still figuring out how to play gently and ask for attention politely.Atticus can be selective about other dogs and may prefer to be the only pet in the home. However, with the guidance of an AnimalKind trainer and positive reinforcement, he can continue to build confidence and improve his social skills.Despite his size, Atticus's body can barely contain his boundless enthusiasm and zest for life! With some structured training, consistent boundaries, and a lot of love, Atticus will shine as a loyal, loving companion. If you're ready to give this lovable big guy the forever home he deserves, Atticus can't wait to meet you! Please submit a pre-adoption questionnaire here: https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/*PLEASE NOTE: Atticus is currently awaiting his neuter surgery, so is only available for foster-to-adopt local to the South Okanagan area* Primary Color: Tan Weight: 42.7 Age: 2yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
Chance is a 14-month-old Great Dane X. This young boy can be very affectionate once he gets to know you. Being a pup he is energetic. He's kennel trained, and loves his toys and snuggles. Chance is not keen on farm birds but with proper introductions, he's good with some dogs. He's working hard on his recall training and re-enforcement of current training. Chance would benefit from a single pet home that can give him the attention a young pup needs. Please call us to meet this nice boy.

Story
My name is POPPIE (Poppy) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Great Dane/Anatolian mixAge: 1-1/2 yrsGender: femaleWeight: 38 kgsHeight: 72 cmCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlight(s): calm, friendly, gentle, social, playful, intelligent, bit of anxiety to overcome I may be a Diamond in the Ruff, but still a gem to woof about. I am gentle and friendly to little kids and adults. I'm also super nice to all other dogs and even cats.Apparently someone dumped me. They removed my collar, as marks show where it used to be. Probably once loved but, as I left puppyhood, was disregarded. Since I am growing up very fast, my size seemed to scare the villagers. So, some people have not been nice and mistreated me. There were even wild dogs that attacked me! I was bitten on my ears, neck and legs, so of course I’m a little nervous these days. I was friendly playful girl when I first turned up, but became withdrawn & scared because of how I was treated.I typically have a very calm demeanor. Being smart and playful, I have a sweet social side to me. A cute bit. I can be chatty, I love to chitchat with you. Think of me as an oversized talkative French Bulldog. While I have a fear of confined spaces (no crating for me please) and some separation anxiety, given a patient home, I can overcome these set backs. I walk well on a lead when calm, but when she stressed can be a little chaotic and since I am a strong girl, need a proper harness to maintain me in those moments. I know those will diminish, as I learn I am safe. I want to trust, so I know if you show me kindness, I will develop more confidence. As a brainy girl, I'm certain I will quickly learn commands, housetraining, etc... too.Happily, I will get into a car for a ride. I am just as happy to lay by your side or at your feet to chill out though. I just love human company. Currently, I have struggled to find my place after losing my home and being in a village surrounded by humans and other animals who weren’t so welcoming.I truly am a gentle giant with a happy soul. I have displayed being very gentle and kind around young children and cats. As a big bundle of love, I want nothing more than to be your sweet friend for life! Hope someone out there can offer me a soft place in their heart and their home.People love my eyes, they keep saying I am wearing eyeliner and they love my natural brindle colours and my funky striped markings, but looks are not my only asset because I’ve overheard that it’s my sweet nature that really sparkles. I overheard my foster parents say whoever picks me will be the ones to really see this precious gem shine. Finding a rescue dog to adopt, several hundred dollars... adopting a loving, giant breed pup, priceless. Vids: https://youtube.com/shorts/wmN-1BKkZm8?feature=share, https://youtube.com/shorts/N0E4uGZJsoM?feature=share Energy level:  Low - Moderate.I get along with:Dogs: yes.Cats: unknown. Rescuer states yes, await vidsKids: yes Fears: confined spaces, separation anxietyTraining:Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: No. Please help me learn! Health notes:I will soon be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2239295##

✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Maggie, A Wonder Woman Wearing a Catwoman Mask 🐶 Once a volunteer accidently dropped her leash and let her run away. Within minutes, Maggie returned on her own and gave the volunteer a big hug. She even brought a stick as a peace offering. It is amazing to see Maggie still has complete faith in humanity despite of surviving from Mass Dog Slaughterhouse. Maggie will love you whether you live in a little trailer or a big house. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Maggie can always make you smile. Can you be a special someone to give Maggie a home?
