Story
Hi! We are very bonded 22-month-old Goldendoodles. We arrived at GRRAND in March after an Amish breeder surrendered us. We didn't have names so, as it was springtime, our GRRAND people called us Daffodil (Daffy) and Iris! Unlike our friends at the kennel who also came from Amish breeders, we are more social and love all people and other dogs. We play in the play yard daily with other GRRAND dogs, and we love it when volunteers play with us, especially if they have treats. We've been working on our walking skills and are doing well. We love to get outside of the kennel to meet all the new smells!! We've only ever been in a kennel, but we are perfect, and beautiful, so we are hoping someone will see this post and give us the opportunity to go to a real home with a TV, doggie beds, furniture, and, of course, a loving family. If you meet us, you will fall in love and we hope you take us home forever!   From the GRRAND kennel: Daffodil (Daffy) and Iris are a bonded pair and need to stay together! They came into the GRRAND program with her litter mate Iris in March of this year from an Amish breeder. Dogs from Amish breeders are usually not well socialized and very timid of humans.    These two are an exception; they have come so far in  seven or so months they have been with us.  They love people and being petted. They LOVE treats. They love playing with the other sweet dogs at GRRAND Central Station. They are high energy and love to run and play but have shown no aggression to people or dogs. We recently started walking them off property on leash; they love the new experience, smells, sounds, wildlife,  and are doing great! They still pull some, but we continue to work on that.  They do not mess in their kennel but that doesn't necessarily mean they are house trained. It does indicate they will be easy to train. We now believe this beautiful pair are ready for a home with a secure above ground fence. They will be flight risk pups until they are settled so no children under 13. Please consider taking these pups " ##1677941##

Story
This Floofydoodle girl is Ivy... Ivy is a 2 year old, 65ish lb, Goldendoodle and was one of the breeder dogs that was rescued from horrid conditions from the Amish puppy mill rescue in early Dec. Ivy and Faith are a bonded pair and as of now (mid-March 2024) we anticipate that they may be ready to consider being transitioned to the right adoptive family, possibly by June. **** Ivy continues to be extremely unsocialized at this time, and the type of home she is needing is not just your typical home. There are quite a few MUST HAVES for her and they are:  MUST have someone who is experienced in helping unsocialized breeder dogs transition from the kennel situation to a home. This is NOT just for anyone, as the time and patience put into helping to rehabilitate these dogs is huge. She also MUST have another stable dog, MUST have a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the house, MUST have someone home more than the typical working family, and a home with NO kids under the age of 16. Sadly, after a year, she is now talking treats from us, and will occasionally let us pet her head. No aggression, just terrified of people.  We are still learning about Ivy but we do know she is very fearful of everything right now. You can tell she WANTS to get love but she is very hesitant and when one of the volunteers was able to pet her (once), she laid down in fear. Ivy has only known the small confines of a kennel, so this new world she has been introduced to is very scary for her. She finds comfort in other dogs as when she is in the play area with volunteers, she was very indifferent and not so interested in people, but when she is outside with some other dogs, she will get excited and bounce around some.  We know we need to get her out of the kennel so she can begin her new journey in life. She needs to find a forever family or foster family that is excited to show her what love and compassion are about. Ivy's rehabilitation is going to take time... things can not be rushed for her. As said above, she is going to need to have a stable dog living in the home so they can show her the ropes and help build her confidence in everything, especially people. Ivy is considered a flight risk, and will need a home with a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the home. We do not know how she will be with kids and or chaos, so a home with no kids under the age of 16 is best and we do not know how she is with cats at this time.  If you want to be the one to show Ivy what life as a beloved family member is all about, please fill out an application: grrand.org/foster grrand.org/adopt GRRAND dogs are looking for their foster or adoptive homes in our current service area of Greater Louisville, Greater Lexington, or Greater Cincinnati and Dayton. We’re sorry we can’t make exceptions to this area at this time. ##1664050##

Story
Luke is a 4 year old, about 60ish lb Goldendoodle looking for a home with no kids under the age of 16, no other dogs and a family that has the time and patience to work with him with some resource-guarding tendencies, as Luke is not a fan of sharing his toys or food. He is house broken, crate-trained, knows some basic commands and has full run of the house when his people are gone. As you can see from one of the pictures, he has no problems with the family lizard! LOL! We are still learning about Luke, so please check back later for more info, but if you would like to be Luke's new family, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2044079##

Story
Arlo is a 1 year old, about 63ish lb, Goldendoodle who has been turned into GRRAND due to his families health issues. He needs a home where there is plenty of time to give Arlo the exercise and direction he needs to be a good puppy. This adorable boy will need a family who has the time to work with him on socialization skills as he is said to have not been out and about very often. He will need work on housetraining and all things puppy! He is said to be good with cats, but GRRAND has not cat tested him. Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard... meaning direct access to the yard from the home… so this means no apartments or condos.  We are still learning about Arlo, so please check back, but if you would like to foster or adopt Arlo, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2082730##

Story
Mr Bingley is a 1 year old, 85ish lb, high energy Goldendoodle looking for a home where the people understand and know the Goldendoodle breed. Some need more activity and direction than their owners can provide and therefore they are surrendered... this guy is one of those dogs.  He will need a home with an above ground secure fenced yard, and where his people will have the time and patience to give him the exercise and energy outlet, and direction he needs to be a good boy. He IS still just a puppy, and a tired puppy is a good puppy and puppies need training and supervision until proven trustworthy. He is crate-trained and house-broken He needs more interation and activity than he was getting and with the right family, he will make a great companion. Mr Bingley is said to have lived with a cat (GRRAND has not cat tested him) and another dog, is crate-trained and house-broken.  We are still learning aout this boy, so please check back later for more info, but if you would like to meet him, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2099755##
