Izzy is a highly energetic and loyal companion. She will play 24/7 if you allow her. She loves attention so much that she frequently steals it from her pet siblings (cat brother and older dog sister). She likes to jump on you when excited. She has not established that no jumping is a rule. If you are able to spend money on some extra training for her, I would say that could be an achievable lesson learned. She is extremely smart and teachable. She is good with kids. However, she tends to assert dominance toward other animals. This would be the only concern. She’s never bitten anyone or any other animals, but again she does assert her dominance as in having no a bad attitude toward other animals. She will growl or nip to show she is in charge, but that’s as far as she’s ever gone. Whoever can provide a home to Izzy where she will be the center of your universe, then you and her would have it made.

Update 3/1/25....Margaret has been brought back to rescue as her adopted family has decided they are not ready for a puppy. This is absolutely no fault of this sweet little girl!! How disappointing she has missed out on other potential PERMIT homes. Please let us know if you are interested in her adoption. Meet Margaret...... Margaret is a 13 week old Goldendoodle. Her mommy was a golden retriever and daddy was a miniature Goldendoodle. We believe Margaret will be more in the medium size range. She came in to rescue yesterday (2/20/25) as a transport from another rescue who needed room as all rescues are full at this time. She has already seen our vet and is current on her vetting for her age. She will not be spayed until she is age appropriate (6 months). She will go home on a spay contract with a 75.00 rebate to help towards her spay. Margaret is a very sweet little girl and will be great in any home where she is loved. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Piper!  *Her adoption fee is $350.00. *She is believed to be a 2 year old Goldendoodle mix, but it is impossible to know without a DNA test.*Piper is a big baby, but can be bossy as she is a dominant girl.*She is a reactive dog, has improved immensely, but does not do well with other dominant dogs and needs a slow introduction with new dogs.*Piper must be walked with a gentle lead and short leash for more control.  No pull halter.*She is muzzle trained and it is recommended that she wear a muzzle to the groomers and vet until she is comfortable with them.*It takes time to earn Piper's trust when meeting new people.  She needs a 'no look, no touch' rule at first.  You need to let her come to you.*No kids under the age of 13 and they need to be a mature 13 for Piper.*Piper would do better in a home, so no apartment living for this gal due to her tendency to bark at the window at people or other animals going by.*She is crate trained and potty trained and knows basic obedience.*A fenced in yard is preferred, but not required if her new family is very active.*Piper loves camping, loves to snuggle, and sleep in your bed.*We would love for the right family to meet Piper and give her a home! *The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
