Story
Hi! My name is Cosmo, but everyone calls me Kanga, short for Kangaroo. I'm a 5-year-old goldendoodle who weighs 14 lbs and who is ready to leap right into the hearts of a forever family. Read on to learn more about me!
General Behavior: Cosmo is a happy boy. He is very affectionate and enjoys giving hugs and snuggles. At night, Cosmo loves to snuggle in the bed with is people.
Likes & Dislikes: Cosmo loves his people very much. He also loves to jump very high to show his excitement and has been nicknamed “Kanga” the Kangaroo for his Olympic gold-medal-winning high jumps. He enjoys toys, too, and can't get enough of them.
Training: Cosmo is a gentleman-in-the-making! He is housetrained if let out frequently, walks well on a leash, is a good passenger on car rides, and even sleeps in the people bed at night. He will wait his turn to get his treats and food with his foster siblings, but once he has food or a toy, he wants to have space from the other fur babies. He is getting better about sharing, but will need more work on this. He is also working on gently taking treats/food from the palm.
Medical: Cosmo is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog.
Other Animals: Cosmo is good with other calm, laid-back dogs who can respect his space. He has not been observed around cats yet, but his foster does not think they'd get along.
Children: Cosmo is good with children of all ages, as long as they can handle his energy levels.
Home: Cosmo likes to be with is people and can get loud when his people leave and when they arrive home. It would be best for him to live in a single family home so as to not disturb the neighbors.
Grooming: As a Goldendoodle, Cosmo will need regular professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks.
Overall: Cosmo will make a wonderful addition to a patient home where he can feel safe and loved and who will work with him on his sharing skills.
