Poppy is a loving, sweet dog who has been part of our family for 5 years, since she was a puppy. This decision is incredibly hard, but it comes from wanting the very best for her. We have a 14-month-old baby, and while Poppy is gentle and good with children, our busy schedules mean she isn’t getting the attention and enrichment she truly deserves. She would thrive in a home where she can be a priority and be spoiled with affection, walks, and quality time. Poppy does well with other small dogs but is scared of larger dogs and will hide from them. She is very sweet and affectionate but can be vocal and will bark at unfamiliar sounds or strangers. She walks well on a harness but will pull if using a collar. We’re looking for a home that can provide regular walks, playtime, and companionship. This is a heartbreaking choice, but we believe Poppy deserves a home where she can truly thrive.

MEET SIMBA! We received a surrender request for this adorable guy. Everyone meet Simba, a 4 year old golden doodle! A member of Simba’s family is having health issues they need to focus on so they reached out to us to help rehome him so our Board member Lisa went to evaluate him. Simba is a very sweet boy who loves to play and get attention. He is very family oriented and loves to be around his people. He loves the dog park according to his family and they say he plays very nicely with other dogs. Simba is good with kids (he lives with older kids now and plays with the neighborhood kids). While he knows basic commands, he may need a tune up on some things. He is house trained. Simba is a big boy weighing 70-75 lbs, so that should be taken into consideration as he may knock down people unintentionally, especially kids and elders, but he’s smart so will learn quickly with some training. He’s also unknown with cats but known to chase squirrels. Do you want to make Simba the next member of your family? Meet Jemma: Jemma is about a 7 month old (as of December 5, 2025) Golden Doodle/Hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 41 pounds. A stray, pregnant mama dog wandered up to a woman’s barn in Mississippi and gave birth to this sweet, mismatched litter of cuties (Jubilee, Jemma, Josie, Jupiter, Jethro, Jagger, Jilli, Jeri, Jewel). The barn owner had been keeping the family safe and reached out to our rescue to help get them all wonderful forever homes. Jemma is currently being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and would love to meet her forever family! Jemma is a little shy and needs to have another furry companion to bring out her playful side. As a puppy, Jemma will need some patience while she works on her house training. We would love for Jemma to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Jemma is getting up to date on her puppy shots and is spayed.
