Story
Meet our mutt: BO BO somehow ended up n a high-kill shelter in Arkansas with his 2 sisters. Luckily, he crossed paths with the right humans and made the trip up to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 1/18/25. He is available for adoption in Wisconsin and surrounding areas starting on the 18th. About: BO is the cutest little dude. He is very friendly and loves attention from his humans. He was surrendered to the kill shelter with his 2 sisters (Bella and Beth). The previous owner said they are chiweenie mixes and both of the parents were between 25-35 lbs. Once getting to WI we realized they are a lot bigger and look more like golden retriever/ Labrador puppies. We do not know much else about the start of his life. He has been doing really well in his foster home and is working on potty training and all the normal puppy stuff! He does awesome with the kids and other dogs. If you are interested in adopting BO, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.muttlife.org ------------------------------- All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines that are age appropriate, up to date flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. We have several spay/neuter clinics that are cost-effective to take them in the Milwaukee area or you can take them to a vet of your choice. We reimburse $100 of your adoption fee after proof of spay/neuter. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
Meet wonderful Waylon! Waylon is a medium energy 6-year-old Retriever mix who weighs ~85 lbs. He loves walking, walkies, and W-A-L-K-S. His lesser loves include treatos, splashing around in his pool, and rolling around in the grass before or after splashing around in his pool. He has an opinionated, goofysweet personality that makes his foster smile every day.A best-fit home for Waylon would have humans who were about giving instead of getting, at least at the start. Waylon had bad experiences with humans in a past life so needs a home that will give him affection on his terms until you`ve earned his trust. His home would include all humans over the age of 13. Because of his past, Waylon needs proper introductions to strangers and for people to recognize when he needs space. Waylon`s new humans should also enjoy walks. He is not a high energy pup, but walking is genuinely his favorite thing. One longer walk (~45 minutes) or a couple shorter walks almost every day would be his ideal. In addition to his general awesomeness, Waylon would delight his new humans by being house and crate-trained, riding well in a car, and knowing, if not always performing, basic commands like sit, wait, down, and please don`t roll in that!He just needs a chance. You can also watch for stories, pictures, and videos about me on JR`s Pups-N-Stuff`s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $400All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age-appropriate vaccinations.
