APPLICATION or INQUIRY...Please email or text me for the e-mail version of our application/inquiry. Currently our application is not working... Terry 210-394-6060..or petcentralsatx@gmail.com. Include dog's name in the inquiry. FABLE is a Golden Retriever mix, DOB 10/15/25, and weighs about 30#. She will probably get to be about 40-45#s. She is so sweet and gentle. She loves to play with other dogs, and occasionally tries playing with my cats. One of them actually does play with her! It's hilarious! She loves going outside with the other dogs and loves running and playing. She is a very good dog and needs a sweet home that gives her the opportunity to run and play. She has not been around children but she is real easy going and children who respect pets should have a great time with her. She is not yet house trained... to the point where she asks to go out. We let all the dogs out 4 times a day and she loves going with them. She comes when she's called. She is very gentle while taking food out of your hand. She walks on the leash, jumps in the car, rides silently without problems. She doesn't get car sick. You couldn't ask for a better dog. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation to WA/OR. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. Story
Hello, my name is Snow! I am approximately four years old and weigh 80 pounds. I am a beautiful girl. My people think I may be a Retriever mix. My mom looked like a Golden retriever but it’s anyone’s guess who my dad is. I’m a very loving girl. I’m very playful and get along well with other dogs. I have never been cat tested so my people are going to say no to a home with furry felines. I would do well with an active family. I would love to go on walks and be out and about. I ride well in the car and would love to try some hikes and be one with nature! I am house trained, but I have never been in a crate. It hasn’t been necessary where I am. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. I am a smart girl and learn things quickly. I will be a great addition to any family and will bring them many years of happiness. I am healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Please email kamcdm@yahoo.com for application instructions.

Story
Russ is the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter. With his expressive face, playful spirit, and “ready for fun” energy, he’s impossible not to love. Russ is smart as can be and loves showing off his skills. He already knows sit, stay, shake/paw, and lay down. He learns quickly, especially when treats are involved, and he enjoys having little “jobs” or enrichment activities throughout the day. He is a companion who loves being part of the family routine. He’s also a toy enthusiast of the highest order. Squeakers, tug toys, or fetch, Russ is here for all of it. He’s a dedicated chewer too, and happily keeps himself busy with sturdy toys like Nylabones or yak chews. After playtime, he loves gathering his blankets into a cozy little pile and settling in for a nap. Russ is halfway through his heartworm treatment and doing wonderfully. If you’re looking for a bright, loving, loyal dog who brings fun, personality, and heart into every moment, Russ might be the perfect match. He’s ready to be someone’s best friend — and he has so much love to give. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Name: Gaon Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Golden Retriever Color: Brown Weight: 14 kg Height (shoulder): 55 cm   Rescue Story   Gaon spent his early life tied to a metal chain fixed to a stake in the ground, severely limiting his movement. As a young and active Golden Retriever, he grew up without the freedom to run or explore during an important socialization period.   When he was rescued in October last year, he was extremely overstimulated and excitable. In the rescue footage, he was even able to pull the deeply embedded stake out of the ground and run around the mountain area.   Due to his high arousal level and impulsive behavior, a veterinary consultation suggested impulse control issues. Since December, Gaon has been staying at a foster home where he has been receiving behavior training along with medication for about 3 months.   With consistent structure and training, Gaon has shown significant improvement and is now much calmer and more stable.   ‍‍ Socialization with People   Gaon is very affectionate and people-oriented. He enjoys attention and will approach both familiar people and strangers to lean against them and ask for pets.   Because he is still young and playful, he can be easily distracted and may move between people looking for attention.   He is comfortable with men and has also shown good tolerance with children under 13.   Anyone can gently lift him by placing arms under his belly, although he may wiggle slightly at first due to excitement.   Gaon can sometimes become nervous when someone is holding a stick-like object such as a broom or mop, and may crouch or appear fearful in those situations.   Socialization with Dogs   When he was first rescued, Gaon would rush toward other dogs out of excitement and lack of social experience. Because of this impulsive approach, conflicts could occur with less tolerant dogs.   After about three months of training and medication, his impulse control has improved significantly.   Currently, he generally ignores other dogs unless they repeatedly bother him or rush toward him while barking.   Gaon tends to be very people-focused and prefers staying near humans rather than playing with other dogs. Because he can show mild jealousy over attention, he may do best as the only dog in the household.   Cats   He has seen stray cats and did not show strong reactions. A proper cat test can be conducted if needed.   Energy Level   Although his energy level has been moderated through training and medication, Gaon is still a young dog who spent much of his early life unable to move freely.   He will benefit from a home that can provide regular exercise, structure, and continued training to help him release his energy in healthy ways.   Walking   Gaon tends to pull on the leash but also pays attention to his handler while walking. He loves greeting people during walks and often wants to approach them for attention.   Other Behaviors   • He does not guard food from people but may growl if another dog approaches while he is eating. • He may show some separation anxiety, so gradual training may be needed at the beginning. • He may bark to express his needs or when he wants attention. • He can get in and out of the car on his own.   Gaon currently uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty, but because he sometimes tears up pee pads when bored, outdoor potty training is being encouraged.   He usually eliminates within about one hour after eating, and since he can hold it overnight, he may sometimes have an accident in the morning if not taken out early.   Gaon is a bright, affectionate young dog who has already made great progress with training and care. With a patient home that can continue providing structure, exercise, and guidance, Gaon has the potential to grow into a wonderful and loyal companion.
